How to troubleshoot a PolyScience Accessories unit that won't turn on?
    • A
      Anna AllenAug 12, 2025
If your PolyScience Accessories unit isn't running, start by ensuring the electrical cord is securely plugged into a functioning outlet. Next, check that the Power Switch or Circuit Breaker is in the ON position. If the compressor overload switch has tripped, allow about 10 minutes for the unit to attempt a restart. Also, inspect the refrigeration condenser fins and air vents for any obstructions. Make sure that the unit has adequate airflow and that the room temperature is not above 95°F / 35°C. Finally, check if the compressor fan is running by listening for fan noise and checking for airflow through the unit.

      Jeremy AveryAug 26, 2025
If your PolyScience Accessories unit's compressor shakes, stalls, or continually restarts, check the air filter and air vents for blockages. Ensure unrestricted airflow around the unit and that room temperatures do not exceed 95°F / 35°C. Verify that the voltage during the start cycle is within 10% of the rated voltage. Also, check the compressor fan for proper operation by listening for fan noise and checking for airflow through the unit.

What causes gradual loss of cooling in a PolyScience Accessories FT-25?
    • R
      Rhonda ChavezSep 3, 2025
If your PolyScience Accessories FT-25 is gradually losing cooling, first check the refrigeration condenser fins and air vents for blockages. If there are no blockages, a licensed refrigerating service technician should recover the refrigerant, locate and repair any leak, and then evacuate and recharge the system. If the issue persists, the compressor valves may be failing, and you should contact the factory.

What to do if my PolyScience Accessories FT-25 has no cooling or insufficient cooling?
    • P
      Phillip HernandezNov 17, 2025
If your PolyScience Accessories FT-25 is not cooling sufficiently, begin by ensuring the Power Switch / Circuit Breaker is in the ON position. Check the refrigeration condenser fins and air vents for any blockages. Ensure the fluid isn't too hot for continuous cooling by checking heat removal specifications and insulating external reservoirs and tubing if condensation or frost occurs. Verify sufficient flow rate by checking tubing connections, ensuring no restrictions from quick-connect fittings or tubing less than 3/8 inch diameter, and maintaining a flow of 3 to 15 liters/minute. Use a lower viscosity fluid if the current fluid's viscosity is too high, ensuring the fluid's freeze point is 10° to 20°C lower than the desired temperature. If freezing occurs, shut off power for 10 minutes an...
