Why won't my Porter-Cable Planer start?

Your Porter-Cable Planer might not start due to several reasons: the cord may not be plugged in (ensure it's plugged into a working outlet), a circuit fuse may be blown (replace the fuse, and if it repeatedly blows, discontinue use and have it serviced), or a circuit breaker may be tripped (reset the breaker, and if tripping persists, discontinue use and seek service). Also, the cord or switch might be damaged, in which case you should have it replaced at an authorized service center.
