  3. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a cloth. No need to fill the basket with oil or frying fat as the appliance uses hot air.

Preparing for Use:

  1. Place the appliance on a stable, horizontal, and even surface. Do not place it on a non-heat-resistant surface.
  2. Put the fry pan into the basket (Fig.4).
    • Do not fill the basket with oil or any other liquid.
    • Do not put anything on top of the appliance, as this will disrupt airflow.

Using the Appliance (Hot Air Frying):

  1. Connect the mains plug to an earthed wall socket.
  2. Carefully pull the basket out of the air fryer (Fig.3).
  3. Put the fry plate into the basket (Fig.4).
  4. Place the ingredients in the basket (Fig.5).
  5. Slide the basket into the AIR FRYER (Fig.6).
    • Caution: Do not touch the basket during and shortly after use, as it gets very hot. Only hold the basket by the handle.
  6. Press the temperature control key to set the proper temperature (Fig.7). Refer to the 'Settings' section for guidance.
  7. Determine the required preparation time for the ingredients.
  8. To switch on the appliance, press the timer key to set the required preparation time (Fig.8).
  9. For ingredients requiring shaking halfway through preparation (refer to 'Settings' section), pull the basket out by the handle, shake it, and then slide it back into the air fryer (Fig.9).
  10. When the timer bell rings, the set preparation time has elapsed. Pull the pan out and place it on a heat-resistant holder.
    • Note: You can manually switch off the appliance by turning the temperature control knob to 0.
  11. Check if the ingredients are ready (Fig.10). If not, slide the pan back in and set the timer for a few extra minutes.
  12. To remove ingredients with original oil (e.g., beef, chicken, meat), use tongs to pick them one by one (Fig.12).
    • Important: Do not turn over the pan, as oil collected at the bottom of the basket will leak onto the ingredients.
  13. To remove ingredients without excess oil (e.g., chips, vegetables), turn off the basket and pour ingredients into tableware (Fig.11).
    • Tip: For large or fragile ingredients, lift them out with tongs.
  14. The air fryer is instantly ready for preparing another batch once one is complete.

Settings (Table): The manual provides a table with basic settings for various ingredients, including min-max amount (g), time (min), temperature (°F), and whether shaking is required, along with extra information.

  • Potatoes & Fries: Thin frozen fries, thick frozen fries, home-made fries, potato wedges, potato cubes, Rosti, potato gratin.
  • Meat & Poultry: Steak, pork chops, hamburger, sausage roll, drumsticks, chicken breast.
  • Snacks: Spring rolls, frozen chicken nuggets, frozen fish fingers, frozen bread crumbed cheese snacks, stuffed vegetables.
  • Baking: Cake, quiche, muffins, sweet snacks.

Tips:

  • Smaller ingredients generally require shorter preparation times.
  • Larger amounts of ingredients require slightly longer preparation times.
  • Shaking smaller ingredients halfway through cooking optimizes results and prevents uneven frying.
  • Add some oil to fresh potatoes for a crispy result. Fry immediately after adding oil.
  • Do not prepare extremely greasy ingredients like sausages.
  • Snacks prepared in an oven can also be prepared in the air fryer.
  • Use pre-made dough for quick snacks; it requires less preparation time than home-made dough.
  • Use a baking tin or oven dish in the air fryer basket for cakes, quiches, or fragile/filled ingredients.
  • To reheat ingredients, set the temperature to 300°F for up to 10 minutes.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning:

  • Caution: Do not clean the fry pan, basket, or inside of the appliance with metal kitchen utensils or abrasive cleaning materials, as this may damage the non-stick coating.
  1. Unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
    • Note: Removing the basket helps the air fryer cool down faster.
  2. Wipe the outside with a moist cloth.
  3. Clean the fry pan and basket with hot water, washing-up liquid, and a non-abrasive sponge. These parts are dishwasher-proof.
    • Any remaining dirt can be removed with degreasing liquid.
    • Tip: If dirt is stuck, fill the basket with hot water and some washing-up liquid, then let the fry pan and basket soak for about 10 minutes.
  4. Clean the inside of the appliance with hot water and a non-abrasive sponge.
  5. Clean the heating element with a cleaning brush to remove any food residues.
