The primary function of the Poulan Pro battery charger is to safely and efficiently charge compatible Poulan Pro Lithium-ion battery packs. It is designed for indoor use only and should not be exposed to rain or wet conditions. Usage Features:
- Safety First: Always read and understand the important safety instructions before using the product. This includes warnings about the risk of injury, damage, electric shock, and fire.
- Indoor Use Only: The charger is strictly for indoor use. Do not expose it to rain or wet conditions.
- Connecting the Charger:
- Connect the battery pack charger to the voltage and frequency specified on the rating plate.
- Use the provided power cord.
- Insert the power cord into the inlet on the charger.
- Insert the plug of the power cord into a grounded socket. The LED on the battery pack charger flashes green once.
- Connecting the Battery Pack:
- Ensure the battery pack is dry before connecting it to the product.
- The battery pack will not be charged if its internal temperature is above 45°C (113°F). The charger will actively cool down the battery pack in this situation.
- Insert the battery pack into the battery pack charger. The green charging light on the charger will light up when the battery pack is connected properly.
- Charging Indication: When all LEDs on the battery pack are lit, the battery pack is fully charged. The charge time for most battery packs is a maximum of 24 hours.
- Disconnecting: To disconnect, first remove the battery pack from the charger, then pull the plug from the wall socket, and finally remove the power cord.
- Battery Pack Storage: Store battery packs in a cool, dry, and frost-free space, away from direct sunlight. The ideal storage temperature is between -20°C (-4°F) and 40°C (104°F).
- Error Codes: The charger provides visual error codes via its LEDs.
- Error LED flashing: Indicates a faulty battery pack. The suggested step is to contact your service agent.
- Error LED is lit: Indicates a faulty charger. The suggested step is to disconnect the battery pack, unplug the charger for 2 minutes, reconnect, and if the warning LED is still solid, send the product to an authorized service workshop.
Maintenance Features:
- Regular Cleaning: Make sure the battery pack and battery pack charger are clean and that the terminals on both are always clean and dry before the battery pack is placed in the battery pack charger.
- Guide Tracks: Keep the battery pack guide tracks clean. Clean plastic parts with a clean and dry cloth.
- Damage Inspection: Regularly check that the power cord is intact and uncracked. Never carry the product using the power cord or pull out the plug by pulling the power cord.
- Cord Care: Keep the power cord and extension cord away from water, oil, sharp edges, and moving parts. Make sure the power cord is not jammed in doors, fences, or the like. This can cause the charger to become live.
- Repair: Replace the power cord if it appears to be damaged in any way. Use only identical replacement parts. The replacement should be done in a service center or by the approved authority.
- Non-rechargeable Batteries: Do not charge non-rechargeable battery packs in the product.
- Hazardous Materials: Do not use the product close to corrosive or flammable materials. Do not cover the product. Pull out the plug to the product in the event of smoke or fire.
- Faulty Product: Do not use a faulty or damaged product or battery pack.
- Outdoor Storage: Only charge the battery pack indoors and protected from direct sunlight. Do not charge the battery pack in any wet conditions.
- Thunderstorm: Do not use the product when a thunderstorm is approaching.
- Temperature: Use the battery pack charger only when the surrounding temperature is between 0°C (32°F) and 40°C (104°F).
Disposal and Transport:
- Disposal: Symbols on the product or packaging indicate that this product cannot be made domestic waste. It must be sent to an applicable recycling location for the recovery of electrical and electronic equipment. Ensure proper disposal to prevent negative effects on the environment and human health. Contact your municipality, local waste center, or the shop where you purchased the product for more information.
- Transport and Storage:
- Store the equipment in a lockable area out of reach of children and unauthorized persons.
- Store the battery pack and charger in separate, enclosed, dry, moisture-free, and frost-free spaces.
- Store the product where the temperature is between -20°C (-4°F) and 40°C (104°F) and never in direct sunlight.
