The
Oasoline
engine operates
a
pump,
whi6h
supplies high
pressure
oilio
the cylinder by way
of the control valve
and high
pressu€
hoses. When
the control vatve
is moved
to the foMard exeno
position,
oil
is
allow€d to flow
lhrough the hoses
to the rcar of
the cylinder which, in
fum, forces me
ram tO extend
outward loward
the wedge. When
the control lever
is reveBed
and
put
in the reuacr
position,
the directjon
of the oil flow is
changed
and the high
pressu.e
oil is forced into
the fiont of
the cylinder,
thereby reiracting
lhe ram. A laage
rcs€rvoir
slores and cools
the hyd€ulic oil and in-
corporates
a
high
density ffter
to filter out any
foreign
