What to do if the Poweramp Laser Level platform does not rise and the pump operates in pressure relief mode?
    • A
      Anthony ConradAug 19, 2025
If the platform of your Poweramp Laser Level doesn't rise and the pump operates in pressure relief mode, it might be due to a heavy object on the platform. Remove any objects, as the leveler is designed to lift only its own weight for safety reasons. Another cause could be the dock leveler binding; check for and remove any visible obstructions. If you find no obstructions, the pressure relief might be set too low, and you should increase it. Ensure that increasing the pressure relief doesn't cause the motor operating current to exceed the full load amp value.

What to do if the Poweramp Laser Level platform does not rise or lower and the motor does not energize?
    • P
      perryhillAug 21, 2025
If your Poweramp Laser Level platform doesn't rise or lower and the motor doesn't energize, it could be due to a tripped motor overload device or a blown fuse. Try resetting the overload relay (for three-phase units) or replacing the fuse(s) (for single-phase units). Be sure to determine the cause of the overload and use the same specification for the new fuse. It may also be caused by the motor starter (three-phase) or motor relay (single-phase) not energizing. Check the voltage at the starter or relay coil. If voltage is present but the starter or relay doesn't energize, replace it. If there's no voltage, inspect all components in series with the starter or relay coil.

What to do if the single-phase Poweramp VS platform does not rise or lower, but the motor energizes?
    • K
      Kelli ParrishAug 25, 2025
If the platform of your single-phase Poweramp Laser Level does not rise or lower but the motor energizes, several issues could be the cause. First, check the wiring to the motor for high resistance, loose connections, or corrosion. Also, make sure the wire gauge is correct for the load. Replace the wiring if necessary. The motor centrifugal switch or the motor capacitor could also be defective, requiring motor replacement.

Why is the Poweramp VS Laser Level platform rising slowly?
    • Z
      zachary35Aug 26, 2025
If the platform of your Poweramp Laser Level rises slowly, it could be due to several reasons. You may have low hydraulic fluid, so add fluid as needed. The hydraulic system might be contaminated, requiring you to clean and inspect the valves, flush the system, and refill it with new oil. Also, check for damaged or restricted hydraulic hoses and replace them or remove the restriction. Finally, the pressure relief might be set too low, so increase it, ensuring that the motor operating current does not exceed the full load amp value.

What to do if the three-phase Poweramp VS Laser Level platform does not rise or lower, and the motor hums?
    • J
      James MooneyAug 28, 2025
If your three-phase Poweramp Laser Level platform doesn't rise or lower, and the motor hums without running, it could be due to a lack of voltage on one line. Check for blown fuses at the branch circuit disconnect and replace any blown fuses. Determine what caused the fuse to blow. You can also check the motor starter. Disconnect the wires at the load side of the starter, energize the starter, and measure the line-to-line voltage at both the line and load sides. The voltages should be similar. If they differ significantly, replace the starter. Check all wiring to the motor for high resistance or no connection.

Why does the Poweramp VS Laser Level pump motor load down when the platform starts to raise?
    • L
      Logan McleanAug 30, 2025
If the pump motor of your Poweramp Laser Level loads down when the platform starts to raise from the lowered position, it could be because the pressure relief is set too high. Decrease the pressure relief, but make sure the adjustment doesn't cause the motor operating current to exceed the full load amp value.

What causes the Poweramp VS platform to not rise to full height?
    • D
      Dr. Rick TorresSep 1, 2025
If the platform of your Poweramp Laser Level does not rise to its full height, it could be due to low hydraulic fluid. Add fluid as needed. Another possible cause is the coil being energized on the float coil; remove the wire from the terminal strip to the float coil. If the leveler then raises, the PLC or relay might be bad. Also, a bad spool valve could be the issue; remove and clean it or replace it with a new or good working valve.

What causes the lip of the Poweramp Laser Level to not extend?
    • T
      Timothy LoveSep 3, 2025
If the lip of your Poweramp Laser Level does not extend, the “C” Coil might not be energized. Check the power to the spool valve; it should have a magnetic pull when energized, and the pump motor must be running. It could also be a bad spool valve, in which case you should remove and clean it or replace it with a new or good working valve, making sure the pump motor is running.

Why does the lip of my Poweramp VS Laser Level not lower?
    • H
      huffbrentSep 5, 2025
If the lip on your Poweramp Laser Level doesn’t lower, it could be because the “C”, “D”, and “E” Coils are not energized. All three valves must be energized, so check the power to all spool valves to ensure they have a magnetic pull, and the pump motor must be running. Another potential cause is a bad spool valve. In this case, remove and clean the spool valves or replace them with new or good working valves, ensuring the pump motor is running.

How to fix the Poweramp Laser Level platform if it doesn't rise and the motor runs in reverse?
    • D
      deanfrancisSep 8, 2025
If your three-phase Poweramp Laser Level platform doesn't rise and the motor runs in reverse, the phase might be reversed. To correct this, reverse any two legs at the branch circuit disconnect.
