Using the mulching plug
WARNING! Before fitting the mulching plug, disconnect the lawn
mower from the mains supply.
1. Lift the deflector guard (13), remove the grass collection bag and insert
the mulching plug (18) into the rear discharge chute, ensuring it is
correctly fitted (Fig. 16). Lower the deflector guard.
2. The mulching plug retains the cut grass inside the deck and cuts this
grass several more times into very small particles before it is deposited
back onto the lawn. This finely cut grass acts as a nutrient for the lawn.
3. The rear roller (21) leaves a stripe finish on the lawn and helps to
prevent scalping on borders and edges (Fig. 17).
