If the red LED is on, there's no output, the amp is very hot, and it shuts down only when the vehicle is running, it indicates that thermal or voltage protection is engaged. You should check for proper impedance at the speaker terminals and ensure adequate airflow around the amplifier. It's also recommended to have the battery and charging system inspected.
