      If your Powermate Lawn and Garden Equipment engine is difficult to start, there might be several reasons: * The engine could be out of fuel, in which case you should add fresh fuel. * The engine switch might be off, so turn it on. * The engine might not be primed; move the choke lever to the ON position. * The spark plug wire could be disconnected; attach it to the spark plug. * The spark plug might be fouled; remove it, inspect it, and replace it if necessary. * The carburetor could be dirty; take the unit to an authorized service center for cleaning. * The air filter might be clogged; remove and clean it. * The fuel could be contaminated; drain and clean the fuel tank, then fill it with fresh fuel.
