To choose a program, tell the user to begin at the Precor banner and
press ENTER. Follow the user-friendly display prompts. Use the
arrow keys to display the available programs. Once the program
appears on the display, press ENTER to select it and to continue
the setup process.

RANDOM PROGRAM
On the C954i, the Random program (RAND) offers a different
regimen every time it is chosen. A user might use this program for
a change of pace. The program segments are preset and maintain
a specified incline.
The incline begins level, at zero, for the first segment and cannot
exceed 7 percent throughout the course. The maximum incline
change allowed between segments is plus or minus 4 percent.
Within these confines, a user can override the preset segments
using the INCLINE ▼▲ keys.
If a user sets the TIME for the Random program as INFINITE, the
user needs to press the red STOP button to end the workout.
Note: If a user chooses a time frame of INFINITE, a cool-down
period does not automatically occur when the workout is stopped.
Remind users to always incorporate a cool down period into their
workout. Mention that they can use the QUICKSTART
TM
feature
to access the Manual program (MANL) and cool down.
CROSS COUNTRY PROGRAM
The Cross Country program (XCTR) is a 30-minute program that
simulates hills and vales. The incline is preset. A user can make
changes to the running belt speed using the SPEED ▲▼ keys and
even the preset incline can be overridden using the INCLINE ▼▲ keys.
