Why Presto Lifts PowerStack PPS2200-125AS Lifting Systems unit will not lift (motor does not run)?
- MMichael MedinaAug 5, 2025
If your Presto Lifts Lifting Systems unit won't lift and the motor isn't running, several issues could be the cause. It could be due to faulty wiring from the fuse to the lift switch in the handle, a faulty lift switch, or faulty wiring from the battery positive terminal to the pump contactor to the pump motor. Other potential causes include burned-out brushes in the pump motor, low hydraulic pressure (caused by a pressure relief valve needing adjustment, a pump check valve stuck open, or a faulty solenoid valve), faulty wiring from the lift switch to the solenoid, a faulty lift contactor, a defective control circuit fuse, a bound chain or roller, or low oil level. It's best to check these components to diagnose the issue.
