This document describes a Princess dehumidifier, providing instructions for its safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The device is designed for indoor use to reduce humidity levels in a room.
Function Description
The Princess dehumidifier works by drawing in moist air, removing excess water vapor, and then releasing drier air back into the room. It features a compressor-based system that cools a coil, causing moisture in the air to condense into water droplets. This collected water is then stored in a drainage tank or can be continuously drained through a hose. The dehumidifier is equipped with a fan that circulates air through the unit. It also incorporates an automatic defrost function for low-temperature operation to prevent ice buildup on the coils.
Usage Features
- Control Panel: The device has a control panel for easy operation.
- Power Button: Press once to switch the appliance on, and press again to switch it to standby. A power indicator illuminates when the appliance is plugged in.
- Setting Button: Allows adjustment of the desired humidity level between 40% and 80% in 5% intervals.
- Fan Speed Button: Used to switch between HIGH and LOW fan speeds, with corresponding indicators on the display.
- Timer Function: A timer can be set to switch the appliance on or off, with intervals from 1 to 24 hours. The timer indicator illuminates when activated.
- Display: An "88" display shows the current temperature and humidity level in the room. When adjusting the humidity level, the selected level blinks briefly before reverting to the current room humidity. Similarly, when setting the timer, the timer value blinks before showing the current temperature. The display shows "35" if humidity is below 35% and "95" if above 95%.
- Automatic Operation: After reaching a humidity level 2% lower than the selected setting, the compressor stops, and the fan continues for 3 minutes before stopping. The compressor restarts when the humidity rises 2% above the selected level.
- Low-Temperature Automatic Defrost: The unit automatically stops to defrost when operating in rooms with temperatures between 5°C and 12°C (every 30 minutes) or between 12°C and 20°C (every 45 minutes).
- Water Full Indicator: When the drainage tank is full, a "WATER FULL" indicator illuminates, the appliance stops operating, and a buzzer beeps 15 times to alert the user to empty the tank.
- Continuous Water Drainage: The appliance supports continuous drainage. A supplied hose can be attached to the water outlet inside the drainage tank, allowing water to drain continuously without needing to empty the tank manually.
- Portability: The dehumidifier is equipped with wheels for easy movement.
Maintenance Features
- Cleaning the Unit:
- Always disconnect the unit from the power supply before cleaning.
- Clean the surface with a neutral detergent and a wet cloth, then wipe dry.
- Do not use gasoline or other chemicals, as they can damage the unit.
- Emptying the Drainage Tank:
- When the "WATER FULL" indicator is on, gently press the sides of the tank with both hands and pull it out.
- Empty the collected water.
- If the tank is dirty, wash it with cold or lukewarm water. Do not use detergents, scouring pads, or chemically treated dust cloths, as these can scratch the tank and cause leaks.
- Ensure the float inside the water tank is not removed, as it is crucial for the water full sensor to function correctly.
- Firmly press the tank back into place with both hands. If not positioned properly, the "WATER FULL" sensor will remain active, and the appliance will not operate.
- Cleaning the Air Filter:
- Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
- Open the filter covering and remove the filter.
- Gently vacuum the filter to remove dirt.
- If the filter is exceptionally dirty, wash it with warm water and a mild cleanser, then dry thoroughly.
- Fit the filter back onto the filter cover and reattach it to the appliance.
- Storage:
- Empty the water in the tank.
- Roll up the power cord.
- Clean the filter.
- Store the unit in a cool and dry place.
Safety and General Guidelines:
- The appliance is for indoor use only and should be placed on a stable, level surface.
- Ensure proper ventilation; the inlet and outlet should not be blocked. Maintain a minimum distance of 20cm from walls or other obstacles.
- Do not operate in explosive or corrosive atmospheres, near fire sources, or in areas where oil or water is likely to splash.
- Avoid direct sunlight exposure to prevent overheating and fading.
- Do not insert fingers or other objects into the air outlet, especially to protect children.
- Keep the unit upright during transport and storage.
- Wait at least 3.5 minutes after shutting off before restarting to protect the compressor.
- Do not use extension cords with this unit.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons.
- Do not move the appliance by pulling the cord.
- Do not stop the unit by pulling out the power plug during operation, unless strange sounds, smells, or smoke appear. Unplug immediately in such cases.
- Repairs should only be performed by authorized service technicians.
- The appliance uses R290 refrigerant gas, which is flammable. Ensure the unit is stored in a room without continuously operating ignition sources. Do not puncture or burn any part of the refrigerant circuit.
- Children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, can use the appliance if supervised and instructed on safe use. Children under 8 years should not use or clean the appliance without supervision.
