Clean appliance/accessories. Fill boiler to max mark, boil, and empty before regular use.
Fill with tap water, place on base, switch on. Do not remove from base when hot. Ensure correct water level.
Clean exterior with damp cloth. Clean lid and filter in soapy water. Dry all parts thoroughly.
Descale every 25 uses with a suitable agent. Do not use vinegar or citric acid. Rinse thoroughly.

Check voltage match. Use earthed socket/cable. Install RCD for protection. Ensure cable safety.
