If the pitch of your Privia Digital Piano sounds off, here are a few things to check: 1. The key setting might be something other than “0”. Change it back to “0”, or try turning the Digital Piano off and then on again. 2. The Digital Piano tuning could be incorrect. Adjust the tuning, or cycle the power. 3. Octave shift might be enabled. Change the octave shift setting to 0. 4. A non-standard temperament setting may be in use. Change the temperament setting to “0:Equal”, which is the standard modern tuning.

Why does my Privia Digital Piano take so long to turn on?
    • C
      Carrie BellSep 3, 2025
If your Privia Digital Piano takes a long time to start, it might be because the memory data was corrupted during a data transfer with a computer when the piano was last turned off. The piano will take about 20 seconds to format the memory. Wait until the format operation is complete. Avoid turning off the Digital Piano while a data transfer is in progress.
