The ProBreeze Model PB-03 is a 1500ml (2200ft³) dehumidifier designed for indoor household use, particularly in smaller rooms and poorly ventilated areas prone to dampness, such as wardrobes, cabinets, and storage rooms. Its primary function is to eliminate unwanted moisture from the air, thereby helping to prevent damp odours and fungus.
This dehumidifier utilizes Peltier Technology, which means it operates without a compressor, making it lightweight and quiet. This design choice makes it suitable for environments where noise levels are a concern.
To use the dehumidifier, simply plug it directly into a wall socket. Once plugged in, switch the dehumidifier ON using the ON/OFF switch. A green LED light will illuminate to indicate that the device is active, and you should feel a light breeze emanating from the dry air outlet. To turn the dehumidifier OFF, press the ON/OFF switch again.
The device is equipped with a water tank that has a maximum capacity of 1500ml (52fl oz). The dehumidifier is capable of collecting up to 500ml (18oz) of water per day under ideal conditions, specifically at 30°C (86°F) and 80% relative humidity. When the water tank is full, the LED light will change to yellow, and the dehumidifier will automatically turn off to prevent overflow.
For maintenance, specifically emptying the water tank, ensure the dehumidifier is turned off first. Gently pull out the water tank from the unit. To empty it, remove the black plug located on the top of the tank. Tilt the tank to pour out the collected water until it is completely empty. After emptying, firmly place the black plug back into the hole. It's important not to attempt to remove the white lid of the water tank. Once the tank is empty and the plug is secured, carefully slot the water tank back into the dehumidifier.
Cleaning the water tank involves removing and emptying it as described above. After emptying, clean the water tank with warm tap water and a mild detergent, such as washing-up liquid. It is crucial not to use boiling water for cleaning the tank. Ensure that any scale or deposits that may have formed inside the water tank are thoroughly removed. After cleaning, wipe all surfaces of the tank dry before reinserting it into the appliance.
For general cleaning of the appliance, always turn it off and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet before handling or cleaning. Do not allow water or other liquids to run into the interior of the appliance, as this could create a fire and/or electrical hazard. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the appliance. The exterior surface of the dehumidifier should be cleaned by wiping it with a soft, damp cloth, and then dried with a soft, clean cloth.
When the dehumidifier is not in use, especially for storage, always empty, clean, and dry the water tank and the appliance to prevent mould growth. To store the product, it is recommended to use its original box or a similar-sized box. Store the appliance in a safe, clean, and dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
Safety precautions are paramount when using this appliance. Always turn the appliance off, unplug the power cord, and empty the water tank before handling, cleaning, or servicing. Do not cover the appliance while it is in use, and use it only as described in this manual. Always unplug the appliance when not in use and avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, heat sources, or extreme cold. Keep the appliance out of reach of children and pets, and ensure children are supervised to prevent them from playing with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children unless continuously supervised. The water collected by the appliance is not drinkable and should be disposed of.
The appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction. When moving the appliance, ensure it is kept in an upright position. Maintain a minimum 50cm clearance around all sides of the appliance. Never leave the appliance unattended while in use. Always turn it off and disconnect it from the power supply when not in use.
Avoid placing the power cord in areas where it can become a tripping hazard; do not place it under carpeting or cover it with rugs or similar. Place the appliance on a flat, stable, and dry surface, always keeping it in an upright position. Operating it in any other position could cause a hazard. Never place anything on top of the appliance. Ensure that the mains supply (voltage, frequency, and power) complies with the rating label of the appliance. A trace of odour may be present during the first few minutes of initial use, which is normal and will quickly disappear.
Do not place the appliance against a wall or other appliances. Do not cover or restrict the airflow of the inlet or exhaust grills while in use. Do not cover, obstruct, or push objects into the vents and openings, as this may cause an electric shock, fire, or damage. Do not operate the appliance with wet hands. Do not use this appliance near water or in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower, or swimming pool. Never place the appliance where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. Do not allow water or other liquids to run into the interior of the appliance, as this could create a fire and/or electrical hazard.
This appliance is intended for indoor household use and similar applications; it is not for outdoor use. Do not use it near petrol, paints, flammable gases, ovens, or other heating sources. The mains cable should not hang down from the surface on which the appliance is placed to prevent it from being pulled down. To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high-wattage appliance on the same electrical circuit. Always plug the appliance directly into a wall socket and avoid using extension leads where possible, as they may overheat and cause a risk of fire. Do not use this appliance with an external programmer, timer switch, or any other device that would switch it on automatically unless pre-built into the appliance by the manufacturer.
Do not pull on the power cord. Never move, carry, or hang the appliance by the power cord. Do not kink or wrap the power cord and plug around the appliance, as this may cause the insulation to weaken or split, particularly where it enters the appliance. Do not operate the appliance with the water tank removed. Ensure the mains cable is fully extended before use and arrange it so that it is not in contact with any part of the appliance. Do not operate the appliance with any safety guards removed. Do not operate the appliance if there are any signs of damage to the appliance or accessories supplied. Do not attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical elements in the appliance, as doing so may be unsafe and will void your warranty.
The appliance is only to be used with the power adapter provided; do not use other chargers or power adapters as this may damage the appliance. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening, as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the appliance. Never insert fingers or metal objects into the vents and openings of the appliance.
