Why is the vacuum weak on my Prochem EVEREST 650?
- CCurtis NguyenAug 20, 2025
If the vacuum in your Prochem Water System is not up to par during cleaning, and the engine RPM is normal, start by checking the waste tank filter and pre-filter basket for clogs and clean or replace them. Inspect the vacuum gauge tubing for blockages. Also, check for damaged vacuum hoses causing leaks, and ensure the pre-filter and waste tank gaskets are properly sealed and positioned. Clear any blockages in the vacuum hose or plumbing. Tighten loose vacuum pump drive belts. Ensure the waste tank drain valve is closed and not damaged. Adjust the vacuum relief valve or replace its diaphragm if damaged. Clean plugged vacuum exhaust heat exchangers. If the issue persists, the vacuum pump may be worn out and require replacement.
