WIRING
Placement Under Eaves and Outdoors
When mounting your speakers outdoors, the eaves of the roof
provide an ideal location. They reduce the exposure of constant
direct sunlight, salt spray, and precipitation. If installing speak-
ers on a boat, the wheelhouse provides the best location for the
same reasons. Following these suggestions will help to ensure
that your speakers will last a lifetime.
Placement on a Wall or Bookshelf
When placing your speakers on a wall or bookshelf, optimal
sound will be achieved if they are mounted at ear level or slightly
higher. The usual listening area should be no closer to the speak-
ers than the distance between the speakers themselves.

All models feature speaker cable terminals for connection to an amplifier, with clear polarity markings (red for + and black for -).

Usage Features

Wiring: To connect the speakers, attach the speaker cable to the terminals on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and – to –) with your amplifier. It is crucial to connect the right channel to the right speaker and the left channel to the left speaker for proper stereo imaging.

Placement:

  • Under Eaves and Outdoors: For outdoor installations, mounting speakers under the eaves of a roof is recommended. This placement minimizes exposure to direct sunlight, salt spray, and precipitation, which helps extend the speakers' lifespan. Similarly, on a boat, the wheelhouse is the best location.
  • On a Wall or Bookshelf: For indoor use, optimal sound is achieved when speakers are mounted at or slightly above ear level. The listening area should ideally be no closer to the speakers than the distance between the speakers themselves.
  • Mounting Bracket: The speakers come with a mounting bracket that can be screwed to a wall either horizontally or vertically. Once the bracket is secured, the speaker can be attached to it by tightening the knobs. This design allows for flexible positioning and secure installation.

Adjusting the Pivoting Tweeter: The pivoting tweeter allows users to customize the sound direction. Gently push the edge of the tweeter to point it in the desired direction. If more treble is desired, point the tweeter towards the listening area. If less treble is preferred, point it away. Avoid touching the tweeter dome directly.
