Position the Sloth

Overview

The Project Nursery Sleepy Sloth Sound Soothing Crib Projector is a versatile device designed to aid in a child's bedtime routine by providing soothing sounds, a projector, and a gentle nightlight.

Function Description:

The Sleepy Sloth combines multiple functions to create a calming environment for sleep. It features a sound soother with various options, a projector that displays images, and a nightlight with adjustable intensity. The device can be used on a tabletop or mounted securely to a crib.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power Source: Requires 3 AA batteries (not included).
  • Timer Settings: Built-in timer with options for 15, 30, or 60 minutes, automatically turning off the projector and soothing sounds.
  • Bump Sensor: Located on the sloth's belly, allowing the baby to activate the belly light, sound, and/or projector. By default, this sensor is off. When activated, it uses the last-used light, sound, and projector settings and stays on for 15 minutes unless turned off.

Usage Features:

Installation and Setup:

  1. Battery Installation:
    • Use a flathead screwdriver to open the battery door on the back of the Sleepy Sloth.
    • Insert 3 AA batteries (not included).
    • Replace the battery door and screw it shut.
  2. Positioning:
    • Tabletop Use: The Sleepy Sloth comes with a pre-installed stand for easy positioning on any flat surface.
    • Crib Mounting:
      • Remove the Sloth's stand by gently pulling it off the bottom.
      • Unfasten the straps on the back of the Sloth.
      • Place the Sloth on the top rail of the crib. Wrap the straps around the crib rail and fasten them securely.
  3. Dome Cap: The Sleepy Sloth includes a dome cap.
    • Use the dome cap when you do not want to project images onto the wall or ceiling.
    • Remove the cap if you want to project images onto the wall or ceiling.
    • When mounting to a crib, ensure the dome cap is removed for projection.
    • The dome cap can also be used to dim the projector and make the projected images visible on its surface.

Everyday Operation:

  1. Nightlight Control:
    • Press the "light bulb" button to turn on the nightlight.
    • Press the "light bulb" button again repeatedly to cycle through intensity settings: low, medium, high, and off.
    • Press and hold the "power" button to turn off all sounds and lights.
  2. Soothing Sounds Control:
    • Press the "music note" button to turn on soothing sounds.
    • Press the "music note" button repeatedly to cycle through different sounds (the final press turns soothing sounds off).
    • Press the "volume" button to toggle through volume settings: low, medium, and high.
    • Press and hold the "power" button to turn off all sounds and lights.
  3. Projector Control:
    • Press the "projector" button to turn on the projector.
    • Press the "projector" button repeatedly to cycle through projector color options, including a multi-color mode (the final press turns the projector off).
    • Press and hold the "power" button to turn off all sounds and lights.
  4. Timer Function:
    • Press the "timer" button to activate the built-in timer.
    • Indicator lights on top of the sloth will show the length of the current timer (15, 30, or 60 minutes).
  5. Bump Sensor Function:
    • To turn the Bump Sensor on: Press and hold the "bump sensor" button until the sloth beeps once.
    • To turn the Bump Sensor off: Press and hold the "bump sensor" button until the sloth beeps twice.
    • When activated, the bump sensor will use the light, sound, and projector settings from the last time the Sleepy Sloth was turned on and will stay on for 15 minutes unless manually turned off.

Maintenance Features:

  • Battery Replacement: The device requires periodic battery replacement as needed, following the instructions for opening the battery compartment with a flathead screwdriver.
  • Dome Cap: The removable dome cap facilitates easy cleaning or adjustment based on projection needs.
