Brief description of the function
The turbidity measuring devices TUC 5 / TUC 6 from the DULCO
turb C product line have been developed for the online measure‐
ment of turbid substances in raw water, process water and treated
process water in drinking water production.
The device type TUC 5 works with infra-red light and meets the
requirements of the international standards ISO 7027 and DIN EN
27027.
The device type TUC 6 works with white light and complies with
the USA standard US EPA 180.1.
Both versions of the device are equipped with an ultrasonic
cleaning device. Ultrasonic cleaning of the measuring cuvette
extends the calibration and maintenance intervals in media prone
to the formation of films.

An inlet-side pressure regulating valve is fitted as standard. The
sensor's pressure regulating valve reduces the pressure of
≦ 7.0
bar (101.5 PSI) to 1.0 bar (15 PSI).
Both types TUC 5 and TUC 6 are fully equipped with a galvanically
isolated 4 ... 20 mA connector, Modbus and 2 alarms.
