K. Resistance Measurements in the L MODE of OPERATION
To select in either Exponenal (Mode 5) or Ohms (Mode 6) Display, use the
buon to toggle through choices. is used for a variety of
applicaons where one desires to reduce Measurement Test Cycle me by overriding Automac
reset-to-minimum funcons. It is intended for applicaons where:
→ Mulple Measurements where magnitude is expected within a range of two or three de
cades, and test voltage must vary with actual resistance measurements.
→ When electricaon period and Test Voltage control must be maintained to
current industry (and Automac Mode) sengs
This mode prevents the PRS-812 from reseng the Test Voltage and Resistance Range to Mini-
mum at the beginning of each Measurement Test Cycle. In this mode, measurements start at the
resistance range selected by the operator, and its commensurate Test Voltage, or the value of the
last measurement Otherwise, it is used similar to the Mode.
The following summarizes Mode Operaons and assumes that test leads
are properly connected.
1. Slide Baery Buss Cut O switch to posion
2. Press Red buon once to power up the instrument.
3. Select by pressing the select buon unl and
appear in the LCD display.
a. Pressing the buon four (4) mes selects Exponenal dis-
play (1.0EXX).
b. Pressing the buon ve (5) mes selects display in Ohms.
4. Set RESISTANCE RANGE SELECTION using the UP () and DOWN () arrow keys.
