Overview

The Prowise iPro Toddler/Tilt Lift is an innovative and accessible lift system designed to enhance interactive touchscreen experiences in educational and professional settings. It allows for easy adjustment of the height and tilt angle of a touchscreen, making it suitable for users of all ages and abilities, including young children. The system is operated via a foot controller or through Prowise Central, ensuring the user can maintain focus on the screen.

Function Description

The primary function of the Prowise iPro Toddler/Tilt Lift is to provide dynamic positioning for touchscreens, enabling both vertical height adjustment and horizontal tilt. This versatility allows the touchscreen to be used as a traditional vertical display or as an interactive touch table. The lift system is engineered for safety and ease of use, incorporating advanced features like anti-collision sensors.

Key Features:

  • Height Adjustment: The lift allows for seamless vertical movement of the touchscreen, accommodating different user heights.
  • Tilt Functionality: The touchscreen can be tilted from a vertical position to a horizontal (table-like) orientation, expanding its utility for collaborative activities and diverse applications.
  • Foot Controller: A dedicated foot controller enables hands-free operation, allowing users to adjust the screen's position while maintaining interaction with the content.
  • Prowise Central Integration: For Prowise touchscreens with integrated Prowise Central, the lift's height and tilt can be controlled directly from the touchscreen interface, offering a streamlined user experience.
  • Anti-Collision Sensors (PIEZO™): The pillars of the lift are equipped with PIEZO™ sensors that detect obstructions during upward or downward movement. Upon detection, the lift automatically halts and reverses direction, enhancing user safety and preventing damage to the lift or the touchscreen. It is important to note that while these sensors improve personal safety, they do not fully comply with all legislation regarding personal safety.
  • Mobility: The lift is designed with double safety wheels (100 mm, made of polyamide) for easy relocation. For safety, the wheels are always locked unless the lift is in its lowest position, ensuring stability during use and allowing movement only when the screen is in a safe, low position.
  • Initialisation: After extended periods of inactivity or relocation, the lift requires initialisation for both height and tilt functions. This process involves moving the lift to its lowest position and holding the respective down button for a few seconds until it automatically moves a further 3mm and then withdraws, ensuring optimal performance and durability. Regular initialisation is recommended to improve the durability of the lift system.

    • Connect the power cord to an earthed socket (AC 100-240V~50/60Hz only).
    • The motion area around the lift must be free of obstacles to prevent entrapment.
    • Never open the electrical component box due to the risk of lethal electrical shocks. Servicing should only be performed by professionals.
    • Always unplug the power cord during thunderstorms; a surge protector is recommended.
    • The lift is not suitable for use in the open air or environments with a high explosion hazard.
    • It is not intended for playful purposes or unsupervised use by young children.

  • Troubleshooting Defects:
    • In case of malfunction, first check all cable connections.
    • Perform an initialisation of the lift.
    • Unplug the power cord for 2 minutes and then reconnect.
    • If the defect persists, contact the Prowise service desk (service@prowise.com or 0800-5021) and provide the lift's name, serial number, and a description/picture of the defect.
    • Servicing of dually-isolated products requires extreme care and expertise and should only be conducted by a Prowise professional or certified partner. Replaced components must be identical to the original parts.
