Essential MP 02 instructions
Switching on
Press and hold the Power button on the top of the phone.
Unlocking the keypad
The MP02 keypad is automatically locked after 30 secs by default (when it is locked, the screen will go
black). To unlock: short-press the Power button and then press the Punkt key.
To change the auto-lock setting:
• Press the Punkt key to access the main menu.
• Scroll down and select Settings.
• In Settings, select Preferences then Auto-lock and choose the preferred option.
Battery & signal levels
There are no permanent battery or signal indicators on the Home screen of the MP02. However, when
battery charge drops below 20% left a warning is shown. Similarly, if the signal is low this is indicated.
You can check battery and signal levels at any time by pressing the Up arrow key and accessing the
Status menu.
Setting a passcode
From the Home screen press the Punkt key to access the main menu.
• Select Settings and press the Punkt key.
• Select Security and press the Punkt key.
• Select Passcode and press the Punkt key.
Finding the WAP password for tethering
From the Home screen press the Punkt key to access the main menu.
• Select Settings and press the Punkt key.
• Select Tethering and press Punkt key.
• Select Password and press the Punkt key.
Importing contacts
Contacts are imported in the vCard format (*.vcf)
