Overview

The Pure Fun 12' Trampoline Enclosure (Model No. 9112E) is designed to enhance the safety of a trampoline by providing a fully enclosed jumping area. Its primary function is to assist in controlling entry and exit to the trampoline, allowing jumpers to gain confidence, balance, coordination, and agility. This enclosure is intended for family domestic use only, specifically for children aged 6 years and older. It is not a rebounding device and should not be used for any other purpose, such as a playpen or dog run. The enclosure is compatible with Pure Fun #9012T or other compatible trampolines with 8 legs that are approximately 53.5 inches apart.

Technical Specifications:

  • Model No.: 9112E
  • Compatibility: Pure Fun #9012T or compatible trampolines with 8 legs (approximately 53.5 inches apart only).
  • Frame Material: Steel (conducts electricity).
  • Netting Material: Safety Net with pre-sewn hanging loops and elastic bands with hooked ends.
  • Components: Upper Poles (8), Lower Poles (8), Steel Jigs (U-shaped Bar/Plate) (16), Screw Sets (32), Safety Net (1), Spacers (16), Pole Covers (8), Pole Caps (8), Safety Nuts (32), Wrench (1).
  • Adult Assembly Required: Yes, two adults are required for assembly.
  • Weight Allowance: Refer to your trampoline manual for maximum vertical weight allowance.
  • Age Suitability: Not suitable for children under 3 years of age due to small parts which may cause choking. Recommended for children over 6 years of age.

Usage Features:

  • Safety Net: The enclosure includes a safety net with a zippered "doorway" for entry and exit. The net is designed to be taut and secured tightly to prevent sagging, which is crucial for proper function.
  • Pole Attachment: The enclosure poles attach to the trampoline legs using U-shaped bars, metal plates, spacers, screws, and nuts. The U-shaped bars' threaded ends must face towards the center of the trampoline.
  • Secure Installation: The safety net hooks to the V-rings on the trampoline mat, and all attachment hooks must be stretched tight. The steel jigs must be fastened securely.
  • Supervision: Children must always be supervised while using the trampoline with the enclosure. Supervisors are responsible for knowing and enforcing all safety rules.
  • Entry/Exit: Users should always enter and exit through the zippered opening of the Safety Net. Assistance for children entering and exiting is recommended to reduce the risk of falling.
  • Prohibited Actions:
    • Rebounding off, swinging on, or hanging from the Safety Net or enclosure poles.
    • Intentionally jumping into or over the netting.
    • Using the enclosure poles or safety net as a handhold for entry/exit.
    • Crawling under or climbing over the Safety Net.
    • Allowing more than one person on the trampoline at a time.
    • Performing somersaults (flips) due to the risk of head/neck injury.
    • Wearing loose-fitting clothing, jewelry, belt buckles, or sharp objects that could snag the net.
    • Bringing items or toys into the enclosure.
    • Using the trampoline under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.
    • Placing electrical equipment (lights, heaters, extension cords) near the enclosure.
  • Placement Guidelines:
    • Must be placed on a completely flat and level surface.
    • Minimum overhead clearance of 26 feet (8 meters).
    • Clearance of 8 feet (2.5 meters) around the trampoline on all sides.
    • Remove all obstacles from the play area (structures, landscaping, trees, branches, rocks, wires, sprinkler heads).
    • The area must be well-lit.
    • Do not use indoors.
    • Do not use on slippery/smooth floor surfaces, uneven or sloping ground.
    • Do not place on hard surfaces like asphalt, stone, or concrete unless covered with a safety surface (grass, sand, or a designated play surface).

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Inspection: The complete product, including connections and fastenings, should be checked regularly, at least once a month, by an adult.
  • Part Replacement: Any worn, defective, or missing parts (Safety Net, Enclosure Poles, attaching hardware) must be replaced immediately. The enclosure should not be used until replacement parts are fitted.
  • Rust Treatment: Galvanized steel products may require occasional maintenance. Surface rust should be removed with a wire brush or coarse sandpaper and treated with non-toxic paint.
  • Cleaning: Keep the area around and underneath the trampoline free from all objects and obstacles.
  • Protection from Animals: Do not allow pets or other animals inside the enclosure to prevent damage to the netting and trampoline mat from claws and teeth.
  • Fire Safety: Ensure no bonfires, open flames, or fireworks are lit close enough to the trampoline and enclosure to prevent burns.
  • Weather Conditions:
    • Avoid use in gusty or severe winds, as this can cause loss of control.
    • Wet trampoline mats are slippery and unsafe.
    • In cold weather, metal parts can cause tongues/lips to stick.
    • In warm/sunny weather, metal parts can become extremely hot; check temperature regularly.
    • In anticipation of high winds, the enclosure must be removed and stored in a sheltered location to prevent damage.
  • Disassembly: If any conditions are discovered that could cause bodily harm or damage, the product should be disassembled and/or secured from use until rectified.
  • Disposal: Dispose of packaging materials safely per local ordinances. For equipment disposal, remove springs and disassemble, storing safely out of reach of children until properly disposed of. Consult local recycler or retailer for advice.
