The NuDerma High Frequency Skin Therapy Wand is an advanced skincare device designed to deliver anti-aging and anti-blemish benefits to the skin using thermal energy via electrical currents. This high-frequency modality, long utilized by estheticians and dermatologists in professional treatments, provides a safe and painless method to help eliminate breakouts and reverse visible signs of aging. The device operates by sending a low-level electrical current through a glass electrode (tube) filled with inert gas. This current generates enriched oxygen molecules and enhances circulation, offering a range of benefits from anti-aging effects to treating breakouts.

Usage Features:
The NuDerma wand is designed for ease of use, with specific instructions for insertion and removal of glass tubes, preparation, and treatment application.
Tube Insertion and Removal:
- Preparation: Always handle glass tubes by holding them just above the metal base. Ensure the NuDerma device is powered off before inserting or removing any tube.
- Insertion: Gently push the metal base of the glass tube into the handle's opening. Some tubes may slide in easily, while others might require firmer pressure. Avoid using extreme force or "jamming" tubes, as this can cause breakage and injury. Never push or pull the glass tubes from their fragile tips.
- Removal: Before removing a tube, confirm the NuDerma is powered off. Hold the glass tube as close to the handle as possible (not the tip) and steadily lift it directly out of the opening. Do not pull or push the glass tube into the handle from an angle or by holding the glass anywhere except above the metal base.
- Safety: Never insert fingers or any objects other than official NuDerma glass tubes into the handle. If a part of a tube or other object becomes stuck, contact support immediately and do not attempt to remove fragments yourself.
Treatment Application:
- Preparation: Thoroughly cleanse your skin and gently pat it dry. While the device can be used on bare skin, applying a water-based serum, such as the Pure Daily Care High Energy Hyaluronic Serum, is recommended to help the wand glide smoothly across the skin.
- Power On: Plug the power cord into a wall socket; avoid extension cords or voltage adapters.
- Initial Contact: Hold the wand's handle and place one finger at the base of the glass tube. This prevents small, harmless static shocks when the device first touches your skin.
- Activation: With your finger still on the glass tube, switch the device on by turning the power dial to the lowest setting. Beginners should start at level 1 or 2.
- Operation: A slight buzzing or humming noise may be heard, which intensifies as the power level increases. This sound is less audible when the glass tube is not in contact with the skin. The wand may or may not glow brightly when applied to the skin, which is normal.
- Serum Application: Apply 2-3 pumps of serum to one section of your face, working in 3-4 small sections to prevent the serum from drying out.
- Treatment: With your finger still on the glass tube, touch the glass tube's tip to your skin, then remove your finger and glide the tube across your skin. Use small, circular motions across your face, treating each area for a maximum of 10-15 seconds. Keep the wand in motion; avoid stopping in one area for extended periods. When using the spot tube, you can tap a blemish several times or hold the wand on it for 2-3 seconds. Avoid direct contact with the eye area, eyelids, lips, and other sensitive areas.
- Post-Treatment: After completing the treatment, massage any residual serum into your skin and apply a moisturizer, or blot/rinse the serum off after unplugging the NuDerma.
- Frequency and Duration: Limit NuDerma sessions to a maximum of 5 minutes every other day. Do not exceed 5 minutes in any single session to preserve the integrity of the gas inside the glass tubes.
- Intensity: Always use the lowest intensity dial setting during the first few uses. The system is effective even at the lowest setting, so high power levels are not necessary to achieve maximum benefits. The comfortable intensity level will vary based on individual skin type and sensitivity.
Maintenance Features:
Proper care ensures the longevity and effectiveness of the NuDerma device.
- Cleaning: After each session, turn off and unplug the wand. If needed, clean and sanitize the glass tubes with a soft cloth and a small amount of rubbing alcohol.
- Storage: Ensure the glass tubes are completely dry before placing them back into their foam inserts for storage or subsequent use.
- Troubleshooting: Do not handle or use the NuDerma with wet hands, and never immerse any part of the device in water. Avoid using it near bathtubs, showers, basins, or other water-filled vessels.
- Safety Precautions:
- Never use NuDerma near combustible liquids or gasses, or with oil-based or alcohol-based products.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures.
- Only use official NuDerma glass tubes designed for your specific wand model (NuDerma original, Professional, or Clinical). Using non-approved 3rd party glass tubes will void your warranty and could damage the device.
- Never power on the NuDerma before inserting an attachment.
- Do not use any parts that appear visibly damaged. Unplug the device by grasping the plug, not the cable.
- Do not plug the wand into a power strip, timer, or extension cord, or into an outlet with unstable electrical supply.
- Always unplug the device safely if the cable becomes frayed or damaged, or if the device smokes, emits a loud noise, or appears visibly broken. If the power cord or adaptor is damaged, do not attempt to repair; contact support@puredailycare.com.
- Do not attempt to dismantle or repair the NuDerma for self-service. If the appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or has come into contact with water, do not use it and contact the support team.
Warnings and Precautions:
- Discontinue Use: Immediately discontinue use if you experience rare adverse reactions such as allergic response, swelling, skin discoloration, extreme redness, hyperpigmentation, or unusual pain.
- Medical Conditions:
- Do not use if you have a pacemaker, neuro-stimulator, ECG monitor, or any other implanted electronic device.
- Consult your physician if you use a body-worn medical device (e.g., insulin pump), are pregnant, or breastfeeding.
