Electrical Requirements

Refer to Chart 1 for specific electrical requirements; recommended generator size is 4.0 kW.

SECTION 3 - PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION

Air System

Describes the flow of air from compressor to storage tank and then to air buffering dryer.

Air Compressor

Ambient air drawn through intake filters and compressed to 80-110 PSIG in storage tank.

Pressure Switch, and Safety Relief Valve

Controls tank pressure, starts compressor at 80 PSIG, stops at 110 PSIG. Safety valve prevents pressure above 165 PSIG.

Air Buffering Dryer

Uses silica gel to remove moisture. Dry gel is blue, saturated gel is pink and needs replacement.

Manual Drain Valve

Provides means of draining water from the storage tank; should be drained daily.

Water Drain Instructions

Procedure for draining water from the storage tank with at least 20 PSIG pressure.

SECTION 4 - GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Nitrogen Bottle Replacement Module

Requires minimal maintenance; contact Puregas Service for assistance. Tank pressure must be released before servicing.

Air Compressor Safety Valve

Located on compressor head, preset to prevent air delivery over 115 PSIG. Check for proper operation and adjustment.

Air Compressor Pressure Switch

Factory set to stop/start compressor to maintain tank pressure between 80-110 PSIG. Adjustment procedure described.

Air Compressor Troubleshooting Chart

A chart listing reasons for compressor complaints like low pressure, overheating, noise, or failure to start.

Air Compressor Maintenance

Details the P07102 maintenance kit contents for routine maintenance. Recommends replacement at 4,000 hours.

Air Compressor Disassembly

Step-by-step instructions for disassembling the air compressor, including removing shroud, cylinder head, and piston rings.
