Other Functions
Reverse – Holding down the # T-R button for two seconds will put the radio into reverse
mode, indicated by an ‘R’ on the display. This temporarily reverses the transmit and
receive frequencies used, which can be useful for bypassing the repeater when calling
another station – for example, one that is within simplex range but is out of range of the
repeater.
DTMF – The number, *, and # buttons send the corresponding DTMF tones while
transmitting. To send the DTMF tones for A, B, C, and D, use buttons MENU
, ENTER,
VFO/MR
, and CALL respectively.
Access to most other functions is through the MENU key. Press MENU and use the
selector knob to choose a menu item. ENTER selects the item and saves selections, and
VFO/MR cancels or exits.
