Overview

This document describes the SRE 1228 C, SRE 1328 C, SRE 1526 C, SRE 1527 C, and SRE 1670 C models, which are mobile liquid fuel heaters designed for auxiliary heating purposes. These heaters are not intended for use as primary heating sources. They come with a 2-year warranty covering manufacturing and design defects, excluding consumables.

Function Description

The device is a mobile liquid fuel heater, designed to provide warmth and comfort. It operates on paraffin fuel and features an electrical ignition system. The heater includes an information display, operating keys, a tank compartment lid, a removable fuel tank, a metal cap, a fuel filter, a fixed tank, a flame inspection window, a hot air grille, and an air supply system. Safety features include a child safety catch key, a safety bracket, and a ventilator filter. The heater can be set to a desired temperature and includes a timer function for automatic operation. It also has an air quality control system that automatically shuts off the heater if ventilation is insufficient or if the room is too small.

Important Technical Specifications

The heaters operate on electrical ignition and use paraffin fuel.

Usage Features

  1. Installation: Carefully unpack the heater, ensuring all packaging materials and the transportation cap are removed. The heater should be placed on a firm, level surface. A horizontal safety bracket can be used to prevent curtains from obstructing the ventilator. Plug the heater into a 230V AC 50Hz wall socket and set the correct time.
  2. Fuel Filling: The removable tank should be filled in a well-ventilated area, preferably not in the same room as the heater, to avoid spillage and fire hazards. Ensure the heater is switched off. Lift the removable tank, unscrew its cap, and fill it using a fuel pump. Monitor the fuel gauge to avoid overfilling. Always store fuel in a cool, dry, and dark place in suitable containers. Use Qlima Premium Quality Fuels for optimal performance.
  3. Ignition: Always ignite the heater using the ON/OFF button. The ignition process takes about 45 seconds. The display will show the required and ambient temperatures. Normal combustion is indicated by blue flames and a red burner grille. Abnormal combustion (yellow and blue flames) requires immediate attention and contacting a dealer.
  4. Temperature Setting: The desired temperature can be adjusted using the (+) and (-) buttons when the heater is on. The temperature can be set between 5°C and 26°C.
  5. Timer Function: The timer allows for automatic heater activation at a preset time. Ensure the current time is set and the heater is off. Press the mode key to enter timer setting mode, then use the (+) and (-) buttons to set the desired activation time. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the heater on, and then the timer button to activate the timer.
  6. Automatic Deactivation: The heater automatically switches off after 36 hours of continuous operation. It also shuts off if the room is insufficiently ventilated (E17 error) or if the fuel tank is empty (OIL indicator, followed by E03).
  7. Childproof Lock: This feature prevents accidental changes to settings. To activate, press and hold the CHILDLOCK key for more than 3 seconds until a beep sounds and "CHILD-LOCK" appears on the display. To deactivate, repeat the process.

Maintenance Features

  1. General Cleaning: Before any maintenance, switch off the heater and allow it to cool down. Disconnect the plug from the mains. Dust and stains can be removed with a damp cloth. Do not use solvents or alcohol for cleaning, as this poses a fire hazard. For very dirty components, a light synthetic cleaning agent can be used.
  2. Ventilator Filter Cleaning: Clean the ventilator filter regularly (refer to figure R in the manual).
  3. Fuel Filter Cleaning: Remove the removable tank and then the fuel filter. Tap the fuel filter upside-down against a hard surface to remove dirt. Never clean the fuel filter with water. Reinstall the fuel filter and the removable tank.
  4. Fixed Tank Emptying: Before transportation or if incorrect/dirty fuel has been used, empty the fixed fuel tank using a fuel pump. First, remove the fuel filter, then insert the pump into the empty fixed tank.
  5. Storage: At the end of the heating season, store the heater in a dust-free place, preferably in its original packaging. Burn up all remaining fuel before storage. Dispose of any unused fuel according to local regulations for chemical waste. Start the new heating season with fresh fuel.
  6. Repairs: Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself, as this will void the warranty and can be dangerous. All repairs, replacement of important parts, and work on safety elements must be carried out by authorized specialists or service centers. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized electrician using a type H05 VV-F cord.

Safety Precautions:

  • Ensure adequate ventilation in the room where the heater is used.
  • Do not move the heater while it is burning or hot.
  • Keep the front of the heater at least 1.5 meters away from walls, curtains, and furniture.

  • Store fuel in cool, dry, dark places, away from heat or extreme temperature changes.
  • Never use the heater in areas with harmful gases or fumes.
  • The heater's grille becomes hot; do not cover the appliance.
  • Children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, can use the appliance if supervised and instructed on safe use and potential hazards. Children should not play with the appliance or perform cleaning/maintenance without supervision.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water or allow water to run into it.
  • Never open the appliance to prevent electric shock.
  • The installation must comply with all local regulations and standards.
