Usage Features

  • Mobile App Control: The Smart Kit is controlled via a dedicated mobile application called "Smart Lift," available on major application markets. Users can download the app by searching for "Smart Lift" or scanning a provided QR code.
  • Registration and Login: New users need to register for an app account. The registration process involves clicking "Register," agreeing to the privacy policy, and proceeding to the registration page. Users can also log in using an authentication code.
  • Family/Member Management: The app allows users to create and manage "families" and "rooms."
    • Create Family: Users can create a family by clicking "Create family" on the "Add family" page.
    • Family Name and Location: A family name can be entered manually. Location can be set by moving an icon on a map and confirming the address.
    • Add Room: Rooms can be added within a family. Room settings can be changed at any time.
  • Device Addition: Devices can be added to the app in two ways: "Add Manually" or "Auto Scan."
  • Network Pairing Modes: The app supports two network configuration modes:
    • EZ Mode: For EZ mode, the indicator light on the smart device should be flashing rapidly. Users then click a button in the app to proceed.
    • AP Mode: To switch to AP mode, users click "AP Mode" in the top right corner of the app. The indicator light on the smart device should be flashing slowly. Users then connect to the hotspot starting with "smartlife-xxxx" and return to the app to wait for the connection.
  • Installation:
    1. Remove the protective cap from the smart kit (wireless module).
    2. Open the front panel of the AC unit and insert the smart kit into the reserved interface.
    • Warning: The interface is only compatible with the SMART KIT (wireless module) provided by the manufacturer.
  • Network Configuration Steps (Android Device Example):
    1. Ensure the mobile device is connected to the desired wireless network and forget any other irrelevant wireless networks.
    2. Disconnect the power supply of the AC unit.
    3. Connect the power supply of the AC unit, and continuously press the "LED DISPLAY" or "DO NOT DISTURB" button seven times within 10 seconds.
    4. When the AC unit displays "AP," it indicates that the AC wireless has entered "AP Mode." (Note: Some AC types may not require step 2 to enter AP mode).
    • Kindly Reminder: All network configuration steps must be completed within 8 minutes after powering on the AC unit, otherwise, the process needs to be restarted.

Maintenance Features

  • App Updates: Users are advised to keep their app updated to the latest version for optimal performance and compatibility.
  • Troubleshooting Network Paring Failures: The manual provides an extensive list of troubleshooting steps for network pairing issues:
    • Check if the equipment is powered on and in EZ or AP mode.
    • For iOS 14 users, confirm local network and wireless data permissions are enabled for the app.
    • If the network is normal but configuration fails, check if the router is overloaded and try turning off Wi-Fi on other devices.
    • Verify the entered router password for correctness, including spaces and capitalization.
    • Ensure Wi-Fi broadcast is on, not hidden, and using the 2.4G Wi-Fi frequency band.
    • Confirm router wireless settings: WPA2-PSK encryption, AES authentication type, or both set to automatic. Wireless mode should not be "11n only."
    • If MAC address filtering is enabled on the router, remove the device from the filter list or turn off filtering.
    • Ensure the router has DHCP service enabled.
    • In AP mode, confirm the phone is fully connected to the device's hotspot before returning to the app.
    • If the device's hotspot is recognized as insecure, trust it in phone settings.
    • If stuck on "register to the cloud," it might be a compatibility issue between the device and router.
    • If connection and operation still fail, it might indicate a hardware problem.
    • As a workaround, use another mobile phone to open a hotspot as a router, and use the primary mobile phone to configure the network via this hotspot.
    • If no issues are found in the above investigation, power on the device again and repeat the network distribution process.
  • Information for Troubleshooting: When seeking support, customers should provide:
    • User login App account and app version number.
    • Device ID.
    • Router model.
    • Video of the network configuration failure.
  • Disclaimer: The company is not liable for issues caused by the Internet, wireless router, or smart devices. Users should contact the original provider for further help.
