How to fix a QMAXZ Lighting Equipment fixture that is completely dead?
    • J
      Joshua CastilloAug 12, 2025
If your QMAXZ Lighting Equipment fixture appears completely dead, start by checking the main power supply and power-plug connections to ensure they are properly connected and functioning. If the issue persists, examine the power input fuse (10A) located in the mains connector on the power panel and replace it if it's blown. Lastly, inspect the secondary fuses (5/10A) on the main PCB board inside the fixture, replacing any that are blown.

      Alicia LewisAug 19, 2025

If it doesn't, disconnect the fixture and adjust the mains supply accordingly before reconnecting. If the power supply is correct, check if the lamp is missing or defective and replace it after disconnecting the mains power supply. Also, the lamp or fixture might be too hot for restrike; allow it to cool down, clean the fans and air vents, and try again, or try another temperature mode. Why QMAXZ Lighting Equipment fixture makes uncontrolled moves on DMX input?
    • Z
      Zachary BryantAug 27, 2025
If your QMAXZ Lighting Equipment fixture responds to DMX input but exhibits uncontrolled movements or function changes, start by checking the controller data quality with a DMX tester. Also, check the data link connection and cables for correct connection or damage, and see if one of the fixtures in the link is causing the problem (bad DMX data board). Ensure DMX cables are properly connected and correctly wired, repairing any damage. Insert a DMX terminator in the last fixture of the link. Use only 3 or 5 pin DMX connectors, not both at the same time. If a fixture has a malfunctioning DMX data board, try removing it from the link to see if the problem persists. Check the fixture's DMX start address and ensure the DMX rates of the controller match the fixture's specifications.

Why does the lamp in my QMAXZ Lighting Equipment fixture go off after start-up?
    • L
      Laura MartinSep 3, 2025
If the lamp in your QMAXZ Lighting Equipment fixture goes off or cycles on and off after start-up, the fixture lamp may be too hot. Allow the fixture to cool down, clean the fans and air vents, and try again using another temperature mode. Check that the mains power supply matches the fixture requirements; if not, disconnect the fixture and adjust the power supply before reconnecting. The lamp may have reached the end of its lifetime cycle, so disconnect the mains power supply and replace the lamp.
