Overview

The QCamera is a user-friendly software designed for Windows, enabling seamless interaction with document cameras and webcams. It offers a comprehensive suite of features for capturing, recording, and annotating live images and videos, making it suitable for various applications such as presentations, online teaching, and document archiving.

Function Description

The QCamera software is broadly divided into three main areas: the Camera Display Area, Resources, and Toolbar.

  • Camera Display Area: This is the primary area where the live feed from the connected camera is displayed. Users can interact with the displayed image using various tools provided in the toolbar.
  • Resources: This section, located on the left side of the screen, provides access to both local resources and recently captured images and videos.
    • Local Resources: This includes a variety of pre-loaded assets such as arrows, emoticons, and math symbols. These resources are organized into categories, and users can double-click a category folder to view thumbnails. Resources can be inserted into the camera display area by double-clicking, right-clicking and selecting "Insert into page," or by dragging and dropping. The size of these resources can be adjusted in the System Setting. Additionally, users can browse their computer to import custom resources in various file formats.
    • Recent Captured: This section displays thumbnails of images, audio files, and videos that have been captured using the QCamera software. Users can right-click on these thumbnails to open the resource directory, insert them into the display area, or delete them.
  • Toolbar: The toolbar provides a wide array of functions for controlling the camera, capturing content, annotating, and managing files.

Important Technical Specifications

While specific technical specifications for the camera itself are not detailed in the manual, the software supports a range of file formats for captured content:

  • Image: PNG, BMP, GIF, JPEG
  • Audio: WAV, MP3, WMA
  • Video: MP4, RMVB, AVI, MOV
  • Flash: SWF

The software allows for resolution selection, which depends on the capabilities of the connected camera (e.g., 3264x2448 for QPC20F1 Camera). Users can also adjust video quality and compression ratio for screen recordings.

Usage Features

The QCamera software offers a rich set of features to enhance user experience and functionality:

    • Device Selection: Users can select the desired camera device (e.g., "QPC20F1 Camera") and choose from available resolutions.
    • Microphone Control: The software allows for selection of a microphone device, adjustment of microphone volume, and muting.
    • Picture-in-Picture: If a local webcam is connected, its live image can be displayed in a small window within the main display area.
