Do not remove the caps from either of
the two cylinders. Removing the cap will
result in a gas leakage and will damage
your vehicle’s HTS.
Do not remove the cap «1 - Fig. 01» located on the centrally-mounted
spring cylinder. Removing the cap will result in a gas leakage and
will damage your vehicle’s HTS.
Clean the chromed parts of the cylinders periodically and apply a
coat of suitable protective product.
4.26 SHOCK ABSORBER ADJUSTMENT
The vehicle’s rear shock absorbers are fittede with a preload adjuster.
Tighten or loosen the ring nut «2» to adjuster the suspension’s settings
in order to maintain an optimal riding set-up with different loadings. The
lowest position corresponds to the maximum preload (rider + passenger
+ luggage), The highest position corresponds to the minimum preload
(rider only).
Riding the veichle with an incorrect preload can redu-
ce the ride comfort and precision. Adjust both shock
absorbers to the same preload.
To avoid any risk of abrasion use suitable gloves when
adjusting the shock absorber.
