Overview

This document is the user manual for the Quadro4 scooter, a four-wheeled vehicle designed for road use. The manual provides comprehensive information on the scooter's functions, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The Quadro4 is a four-wheeled scooter equipped with a Hydraulic Tilting System (HTS) that allows it to tilt like a normal two-wheeled scooter, providing enhanced stability and safety. It features integrated brake levers (front and rear) and an integrated brake pedal (front and rear) for comprehensive braking control. The scooter includes various handlebar controls for lights (dipped, full-beam, flasher), turn signals, and horn. It also has an engine stop command and an engine start command. For convenience, it offers storage compartments (upper and lower) and electrical sockets (12V cigarette lighter type). The instrument panel displays essential information such as odometer, trip computer (A and B), mileage indicator, clock, temperature indicator, fuel gauge, seat open warning light, and low temperature (ice hazard) warning light. Indicator lights on the instrument panel alert the driver to hazard warning lights, battery status, tilting lock engagement, parking brake engagement, planned maintenance, malfunction, device charging, fuel reserve, dipped headlights, turn signals, and full-beam headlights.

Usage Features

The Quadro4 is designed for safe and comfortable driving. Drivers must keep both hands on the handlebars, and passengers must hold onto the handles at the sides of the seat, with both feet on the footrests while the scooter is in motion. It is crucial to be visible to other drivers and exercise caution at road junctions. The scooter should not be operated under the influence of alcohol or drugs. When parking, ensure the scooter is not in a location where it could be hit by other traffic, on steep slopes, uneven surfaces, or near flammable materials. The engine should not be started in closed or poorly ventilated environments. The scooter is equipped with a parking brake and a tilting system lock for stability when stationary. The tilting lock prevents the scooter from tilting and limits engine speed when engaged. The parking brake must only be engaged when the engine is off and the scooter is stationary. The ignition key has multiple positions for steering lock, parking brake engagement/release, OFF, ON, and seat opening. To start the engine, ensure the engine stop command is in position 0, release the parking brake, turn the key to the ON position, hold the accelerator at idle, pull a brake lever (or press the brake pedal), and press the starter button. It is advised to warm up the engine correctly and limit speed during the first few minutes of use. Refuelling requires turning off the engine, avoiding smoking or naked flames, and using unleaded petrol with a minimum 95 RON octane rating. For periods of inactivity, engage the tilting lock, parking brake, fill the fuel tank with stabiliser, remove the battery, and inflate tyres to the specified pressure.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the scooter's efficiency, performance, and safety. All maintenance operations should be performed by authorised Quadro dealers or workshops with the engine off, and the parking brake and tilting lock engaged. The manual outlines periodic checks to be performed every 1000 km or before long journeys, including coolant level, oil level, tyre pressure and wear, brake fluid level, and front/rear lights. Planned Maintenance Plan:

The manual also provides instructions for checking engine oil, engine coolant, and brake oil levels. It specifies the procedure for cleaning the scooter, warning against harsh chemical products on plastic components. For emergencies, it details fuse replacement, bulb replacement (front light cluster, rear light cluster, numberplate light), and battery replacement and recharging. It is crucial to use only original Quadro spare parts and recommended lubricants to maintain warranty validity and scooter reliability.
