Why won't my Qualcast Lawn and Garden Equipment engine start?
- KKaren RobertsAug 2, 2025
If your Qualcast Lawn and Garden Equipment engine won't start, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the fuel tank isn't empty by filling it with fuel. Check that the throttle is properly set. Make sure the ignition cable plug is firmly attached; if not, push it on tightly. Also, inspect the ignition cable plug for dirt and clean it if necessary. If there's excess fuel in the combustion chamber, remove the spark plug, dry off the electrode, and start at full throttle. Clean the spark plug if it's dirty. Verify the distance between the spark plug electrodes, setting the gap to 0.7 to 0.8 mm if it's too large. If you've used the wrong fuel, drain the tank and refill it with the correct fuel. Finally, the spark plug may be defective, so consider replacing it.
