Quicksilver 905WE — System & Component Overview and Operaon
Disinfect the Fresh Water System
The following is a recommended procedure to disinfect the fresh water system:
1. Flush the enre system thoroughly by allowing potable water to ow through it.
2. Drain the system completely.
3. Fill the enre system with an approved disinfecng soluon. Check with your dealer for
recommended products, and follow the manufacturer’s instrucons.
4. Aer disinfecng, drain the enre system.
5. Flush the enre system thoroughly several more mes with potable water.
Maintenance
Maintenance of the fresh water system will require you to check the ngs and hoses to make sure
that there are no leaks. Before the winter season, the fresh water system must be completely drained
to avoid damage.
City Water Inlet
Included in the boat is a City Water Inlet which allows you to hook up to a fresh water source while at
a dock. The inlet contains a pressure regulator to control the ow of water to your boat. To connect,
simply aach the male quick disconnect ng (provided by Quicksilver®) to the City Water Inlet. Next
connect a water hose with a female quick disconnect ng end to the City Water Inlet. The inlet
bypasses the water tank so there is no need to turn on the water pump.
Boiler (oponal)
Your boat may come equipped with an oponal 22L boiler, located in the starboard ulity area in the
a berth. To operate, make sure the FRESH WATER switch is in the ON posion. Next, turn on the
WATER HEATER breaker located on the 230V main distribuon panel.
The boiler’s thermostat comes pre-set from the factory at 70
o
C. If you would like to adjust the water
temperature, refer to the boiler’s owners manual for explicit instrucons.
Maintenance
Maintenance of the boiler will require you to check the ngs and hose connecons regularly to
make sure that there are no leaks. The pressure relief valve must be acvated regularly to make sure it
is not blocked. This must be done when the water in the boiler is cool. The system should be ushed
several mes a year to prolong the life of the system.
Before the winter season, the boiler must be completely drained to avoid damage.
