Slide the two pieces of Flex Sleeve (20397) onto the Tail Mount (40172). The exact location will be
determined later in the assembly.
Refer to DETAIL ‘A’ on the correct orientation of the Rudder Brace Tube (40181) and
the Tail Mount Tube (40172) The Holes in the illustration are drilled at an Angle.
DETAIL ‘A’ is illustrated Up Side Down.
1 Attach the Horizontal Stabilizer Frame to the Tail Mount as shown in DETAIL ‘B’ & ‘C’.

2 Attach Tail Skid (41150) to Tail Mount first. PAGE 18 Do not tighten Locknut.
3 Attach Rudder Brace Tube to Tail Skid. Do not tighten Locknut.
4 Attach forward end on Rudder Brace to 90° Tang (20365)
5 Attach Tang to Tail Mount. The AN4-33a Bolt (#14) will be too long. Take up the space by
stacking washers under the Locknut. This will facilitate any adjustments during Test Flights that
may require an adjustment in Tail Incidence Section 10
Tighten all Nuts. DO NOT Over Tighten the Bolts associated with the Plastic Saddles.
