TAIL BOOM / TAIL BRACE ASSEMBLY
This will complete the assembly of the Tail Group.
There are many different size Saddles on this page. Be careful to install the Saddles
only as shown. DO NOT Over tighten the bolts through the saddles as this will (in time)
develop cracks in the saddles.
ALL BOLTS should be Just Snug to eliminate any spaces and prevent any “Looseness”.
Although this step will include Attaching the Lower Tail Boom Tubes (40421) you may
want to wait and install these tubes during Final Assembly Section 9 Page 6.
It is a good idea to attach the Hardware (Bolt and Saddles) onto the Tail Skid (41150).
During Final Assembly be very careful not to Crush These Tubes by Over Tightening.
Detail ‘B’ When installing Tail Brace Tube (40425) into Channel (20080) you should put a
1/4” washer (not shown) between the Tail Brace Tube and the Channel. This will take
up the space and prevent the tube from being loose in the channel.
