TRIKE ASSEMBLY NOTES
Plastic bushings 70250 (page 6-6) are installed into the Foot Pedals. It is important that the
bushing fit smoothly into the 1” hole in the Pedal and over the Pedal Mount Tube (40430).
If necessary open up the hole in the pedal with a round file or use sandpaper.
Once assembled, the pedals should rotate freely on the tube.
TRIKE ASSEMBLY
Ideally, assemble the Sub Assemblies, then assemble those sections.
Once Ti
Once Tike is together you will need a strap or cord connected to the back of the Root Tube and
the center of the Main Axle 40311. This will prevent the assembly from back onto itself.
Once the engine and wings installed this strap can be removed.
The engine will be the last component installed onto the Trike unit.
The Complete Fuel sytem and any Instruments should also be installed at this time.
Ideally the Trike should be fully complete before installing the Wings.

Wheel Tire Assembly: The Standard wheels on the QS single place aircraft is the 5” Black Plastic
Wheels w/ 5” Tires. Some builders will opt for the larger Wheel / Tire kit for the rear wheels.
Typically the nose wheel assembly will remain the 5” as on page 6-4.
Any Ruff Edges on the plastics wheels should be filed smooth. This will prevent damage to the
Inner Tube.
If a Steerable Nose Wheel Kit is to be installed, those components are assembled with the
components on page 6-5.
components on page 6-5.
It may be easier if the Steerable N W kit is installed during the Trike Final Assembly.
Main Axle: Page 6-9 shows the Right side assembly. The Left side is assembled the same.
Be sure to note the two 3/16” holes on the Axle Tube (40291) are on the left side of Center.
These holes will be used to install controls in Section 8 page 9.
