If algae is present, clean it before using the cleaner to prevent it from floating and hindering the process. For irregular pool shapes, focus the robot on areas needing specific attention. Also, turn off the pool filter system and pump during operation. Finally, make sure enough cable is released into the pool.

  The Racer Swimming Pool Vacuum cable might twist or coil due to a few reasons. There could be an obstruction in the pool that's tangling the cable; remove any obstructions you find. Alternatively, the cable could be stuck on the main drain outlet; if so, turn off the pool filter system. Also, if the cleaner has been working for too long, manually release the cable.
