General Safety Information Concerning
Operating the Radinn Jetboard
continued
Always avoid routes that are occupied by water-
crafts, water sport products or other jetboard
riders. The jetboard is an extreme sports product
that can be more difcult to control than a nor-
mal watercraft. Therefore, always be sure to go in
a safe and slow manner when passing, meeting
or riding away from other watercrafts and/or
water sport articles, as well as objects and swim-
mers. Other water crafts may be approaching
fast and appear suddenly. Keep and eye on your
environment and what is happening farther up
ahead. Beware of potential collisions!
The jetboard is not equipped with lights and is
therefore unsuitable to operate during night, in
early mornings, or late evenings. Never operate
the craft after sunset or before sunrise. Doing
so can put yourself and others in danger and
collisions with other watercrafts, obstacles or
individuals are imminent.
Do not operate the jetboard in water that is less
than 1,5 meters deep. Doing so can result in se-
vere injury to yourself, others and your jetboard
– as a result of hitting underwater objects. Stay
away from rocky bottoms, coral reefs and other
dangerous areas where a fall can result in severe
injury. Never attempt to steer the jetboard
directly up to shore. You may fall onto land and
injure yourself and others severely. Be very care-
ful not to ride the jetboard too fast when getting
close (30 meters) to shore.
The operating time of the jetboard is limited to
the battery capacity. Therefore, you must always
keep an eye on your battery level indicator as
communicated on your Radinn Hand controller.
Always return to shore with some margin. Never
attempt to deplete the entire battery. It can be
dangerous and is unhealthy for the Radinn
Battery.
When the jet board battery is nearly depleted
the last LED on the Hand controllerler will be lit.
At this point, it is high time to plan your return
to shore.
When the last LED starts ashing (Hand control-
ler buzzer will engage as well), return immedi-
ately to shore. The remaining ride time varies on
several factors sutch as rider weight, rider style,
board shape (buoyancy), and battery tempera-
ture. Always make sure you have enough margin
to return to shore.
Please note that the Hand controller buzzer
will also engage if the Hand controller state
of charge is running low (return immediately
to shore). Hand control state of charge can be
checked when the magnetic key leash is disen-
gaged from the jetboard.
Please note that the jetboard will enter a “limp
home mode” (low power output) at the end of
the jetboard battery’s state of charge. This is
normal behavior and no indication of error. The
purpose is to limit energy usage while maximiz-
ing the remaining ride time, providing addition-
al means for the rider to reach the shore.
In most instances, the general personal liability
insurance of any rider does not cover property
damage caused by the direct or indirect use of
the jetboard. Before using the jetboard, please
make sure to contact your insurance agent and
research your insurance policy for coverage cases
involving damage, injury and even death. It can
be overwhelmingly expensive if you damage
someone else’s property. We urge you to think
twice before riding anywhere with a possibility
of damaging anyone’s property.
