Using Batteries
1. Remove the battery compartment cover
by sliding it in the direction of the arrow.
2. Install three fresh AA batteries over the
ribbon in the compartment, as indicated
by the polarity symbols (+ and –) inside
the compartment.
Cautions:
• Use only fresh batteries of the required
size and type. Never mix new and old
batteries, or batteries of different types.
• To protect the radio from battery leak-
age, never leave dead, weak or old bat-
teries in the radio. If you do not plan to
use the radio for a month or more, or if
you plan to use an AC or DC adapter,
remove the batteries.
• Always dispose of old batteries
promptly and properly.
Note:
When the radio does not operate
properly or the sound weakens or distorts,
replace the batteries.
