This
procedure
is
intended
for
the
following
electrodes:
E5237
(pCO,),
E5247
(pO2),
E5277
(pO/pCO»)
and
E5280
(pO./pCO,
solid
state).
The
electrode
performance
check
is
to
be
performed
in
case
of
a
malfunction
for
troubleshooting,
and
upon
completion
of
a
service
repair
for
verifying
the
.
electrode
performance.
The
check
results
should
be
documented
in
the
table
at
the
end
of
this
paragraph.
The
results
should
be

Before
the
performance
check
it
is
recommended
to
remembrane
the
electrode
unless
you
want
to
check
an
error
diagnosis.
If
so,
it
is
recommended
to
test
the
electrode
twice.
First
with
the
original
membrane,
secondly,
with
a
new
membrane.
Tf
the
old
membrane
has
been
mounted
on
the
electrode
for
a
long
time and
the
electrolyte
has
dried
out,
the
electrode
should
be
cleaned
with
distilled
water
and
rubbed
thoroughly
with
the
cleaning
paper.
Never
use
emery
paper
or
similar.
These
checks
are
performed
during
a
normal
calibration
procedure.
Refer
to
the
standard
procedure
as
described
in
the
Operator's
Manual.
Preset
the
temperature
to
45
°C.
Use
the
Green
calibration
gas.
The
preset
temperature
(+
0.05
°C)
must
be
reached
within
three
minutes.
If
not,
ERROR
1
will
be
flashing
in
the
AUX
display and
an
acoustic
beep
will
be
heard.
This
error
may
be
provoked
if
the
ambient
temperature
is
below
the
specified
minimum
temperature
of
15
°C.
If
the
electrode
temperature
sensing
system
is
defective,
i.e.
the
temperature
sensors
or
their
connections,
ERROR
10
or
11
(displayed
in
the
pO,/pCO,
displays
+
continuous
acoustic
alarm
for
five
seconds)
may
be
called.
However,
these
errors
are
normally
caused
by
