Why is my Rajant Corporation Network Hardware wireless client unable to join the network?
    • M
      michaeljohnsonAug 18, 2025
Several factors can prevent a wireless client from joining the network. Here are some things to check: * Make sure the BreadCrumb devices are powered on. * Verify the wireless card in the client device is enabled. * Confirm the wireless card is in "Infrastructure" or "Access Point" mode, not "Ad Hoc" mode. Scan for the ESSID "breadcrumb". * Check that the wireless client’s IP address settings are configured properly. * Ensure the WEP settings on the client device and BreadCrumb devices match. * Verify the client device isn't blocked by an ACL. * If AirFortress encryption is enabled on the BreadCrumb devices, ensure the client device has it enabled as well.

What to do if Rajant Corporation BreadCrumb Wireless Network Network Hardware screen is black and empty?
    • C
      Caitlin HerreraAug 21, 2025
If the screen is black and empty, BCAdmin may be unable to communicate with any BreadCrumb devices. Check if a personal firewall application is preventing BCAdmin from communicating with the BreadCrumb devices. The Windows XP® Service Pack 2 built-in firewall also blocks communications with BreadCrumb devices by default.

What to do if Rajant Corporation Network Hardware wireless client moves beyond the range of the BCWN?
    • E
      Eugene MooreAug 26, 2025
If a wireless client moves beyond the range of the BCWN, it will experience sporadic, and eventually complete, loss of network connectivity. Add more BreadCrumb devices to increase the network's range as necessary.
  • G
    Gregory SchaeferAug 28, 2025
What to do if light precipitation results in sudden sporadic network connectivity for Rajant Corporation BreadCrumb Wireless Network?
    • X
      xfowlerAug 28, 2025
If light precipitation or fog begins after the initial deployment of the BCWN and causes sudden sporadic network connectivity, increase the network's density by adding more BreadCrumb devices or moving existing BreadCrumbs closer together.
  • E
    Elizabeth TaylorAug 30, 2025
What to do if Rajant Corporation BreadCrumb Wireless Network wireless client moves around through the coverage area?
    • S
      Sarah ReynoldsAug 30, 2025
If a wireless client moves around the coverage area and loses line of sight (LOS) to the BreadCrumb device, it can result in sporadic network connectivity. Train users to maintain LOS to known BreadCrumb device locations. Strategically place BreadCrumb devices to ensure coverage of areas where users are expected to move.

What to do if Rajant Corporation BreadCrumb Wireless Network Network Hardware BreadCrumb LED remains solid red?
    • M
      Matthew MccarthySep 4, 2025
If the BreadCrumb's LED remains solid red and devices cannot communicate with it, ensure that radio cards are properly seated in their PCMCIA slots. If the problem persists, re-flash the BreadCrumb or contact customer service.

    Janice PrattSep 6, 2025
What to do if Rajant Corporation BreadCrumb Wireless Network Network Hardware BreadCrumb LED blinks red?
    • B
      brianfloresSep 6, 2025
If the BreadCrumb's LED blinks red and devices cannot communicate with it, the BreadCrumb has detected that it contains both SecNet and Non-SecNet radios. Ensure that all radios are SecNet or Non-SecNet, and then reboot the BreadCrumb.
  • A
    Anita VillegasSep 8, 2025
What to do if Rajant Corporation Network Hardware PCMCIA cards within a BreadCrumb device can work loose?
    • K
      kmillerSep 8, 2025
On rare occasions, the PCMCIA cards within a BreadCrumb device can work loose, preventing the device from establishing connectivity to the BCWN. Open the BreadCrumb device’s case and verify that the PCMCIA cards are securely seated in their slots.
