The RAMFAN Lithium Ion Dual Battery Charger is a microprocessor-controlled charging system designed to simultaneously charge two RAMFAN 40V Li-Ion battery packs. Manufactured in the USA by Euramco Group, this charger is specifically intended for use with RAMFAN Model# R2-360-AH-U battery packs. It features defective battery detection and a nominal charge time of 6 hours for a fully discharged battery, with partially discharged batteries taking less time.
Function Description:
The primary function of the RAMFAN Dual Battery Charger is to efficiently and safely charge RAMFAN 40V, 6AH Li-Ion battery packs. It can charge one or two battery packs at a time. The charger automatically turns on when input power is applied. Upon power-up, both battery status LEDs will flash at a rate of two flashes per second for 10 seconds and then turn off until battery pack(s) are connected. Once a battery pack is connected, the charger determines if batteries are attached, measures and reports the battery charge/fuel level, and initiates a charge cycle. The system includes over-charge protection, shutting down if the battery pack charge current does not drop to 150 milliamps within 9 hours. It also has an under-voltage disable feature, where the charger is disabled if the battery pack voltage is less than 6VDC.

- AC chargers are supplied with a 6' power cable terminated with a NEMA #5-15 plug for 115V AC power or a Schuko Cee 7/4" plug for 230V AC power. These models operate with a universal input power supply (85-260VAC, 50/60Hz).
- DC chargers are supplied with a 6' power cable with unterminated flying leads for 12-24VDC input (works with 10-30VDC input).
- Mounting: The charger can be mounted on vertical or horizontal surfaces. A drill template is provided for installation. Ensure adequate ventilation and a dry location.
- Safety Guidelines: Always check the charger, connection cables, and plugs for damage. Keep cables away from heat, oil, and sharp edges. Do not expose the charger to rain or condensing humidity. Use only with RAMFAN Model# R2-360-AH-U battery packs. Avoid using battery packs near metallic objects that could short circuit terminals. In case of fluid leakage from a battery, avoid physical contact and seek medical assistance if fluid gets into eyes.
Maintenance Features:
- No User Serviceable Parts: The charger contains no user-serviceable parts. Maintenance should only be performed by qualified individuals to ensure long-term safety.
- Battery Storage: Battery packs should not be stored for longer than 12 months without charging to maintain long-term reliability.
- Temperature Restrictions: Battery packs at temperatures above 105°F / 40°C or below 4°F / -20°C will not accept a charge.
- Disposal: Charging devices, accessories, and packaging should be recycled in an environmentally-friendly manner. For EU countries, unserviceable chargers should be collected separately and recycled according to European Directive 2012/19/EC. Lithium-ion battery packs contain toxic material and must be disposed of in a specified manner to prevent environmental contamination. Contact local waste disposal agencies for specific instructions and certified Li-ion disposal centers.
