Continued Installation:
Step 5:
Fit the rubber gasket to the top of the tailgate. Push the
rubber gasket onto the top edge of the tailgate as shown in
Figure 6.
Insert the Tailgate Bar into the brackets by pushing the bar
against the brackets and pivoting. See Figures 7 and 8.

Working from the side of the vehicle, with the side quarter
window out, fold rear seat forward and center the Mini
Tonneau Cover. Use the hole on the strap as a guide to
mark the hole on the fender. See Figure 9.
Set the strap aside and drill a pilot hole where marked.
NOTE: Carefully check under drilling area to be sure you do not
drill into any concealed wiring.
Reposition the strap and install 1 sheetmetal screw through
the metal ring and in to the recently drilled hole. Repeat on
opposite side.
Close Tailgate and ensure rubber gasket seals properly.
