9 Installation of control panel (accessory)
Unroll capillary tubes and cable and feed into the
opening in the cover.
Place control panel on boiler and push into the plastic
lugs in the jacket (1).
Feed the burner cable out, to the right or left, via the
hole in the upper front cover panel. Insert protectors
(threaded onto burner cables) into the holes.
Seal sleeves in front upper flange and insert probe
elements. Plug any unused holes in the flange.
Place cover (2) on top of boiler and push into plastic
pins.

10 Before operation begins
A qualified person must carry out both the initial start-up
of the unit and operator training.
a) Fill heating system to required water level or pressure
and bleed air from system. With open units complying
with DIN 4751, part 1, and total water hardness of
more than 15º dH, it is advisable to add mixed prod-
ucts or complex-forming agents several times. The
corresponding operation regulations are to be ob-
served.
b) Open oil or gas shut-off valve.
c) Operate main switch.
d) Set boiler temperature control to required level. Set
boiler temperature control to maximum if
rapidomatic
®
heat regulator is fitted.
e) If rapidomatic
®
heat regulator is in operation, set
auto/man/TÜV switch to auto. If no rapidomatic
®
heat regulator is in operation, set switch to man.
f) Set burners according to manufacturers instructions,
taking into account boiler capacity and the specified
combustion values.
g) Allow unit to heat .
h) Check that all control, regulating and safety devices
are functioning properly and correctly adjusted.
i) If water level in unit is low, refill with water when boiler
has cooled down.
j) Train operator(s) in correct use of the unit.
10.1 Operation
As described in sections b) to e).
10.2 Taking the unit out of operation
Disconnect at main switch.
Shut off oil or gas supply.
10.3 Danger of frost damage
If heating operation is interrupted for long periods during
winter, the whole heating system  including the boiler 
must be completely emptied. Check when emptying that
the drain tap does not become blocked with dirt. The
drain tap must remain open until the unit is refilled.

The control panel can be fixed in three different posi-
tions:
- like shown (panel´s front to the boiler´s front)
- panel´s front to the right
- panel´s front to the left
You can choose the best position for each case.
