The
folding machine must be disconnected
from
the electric
system
under all
circumstances once
the wooden
blocks have
been installed.
The
bending
cheek then swings
slowly downwards
-
lowered by its own weight.
Once
the bending cheek is resting firmly on the wooden
blocks,
the
rnain
switch on
the
switchgear cabinet
must be turned off.
The main switch must be secured with a
padlock
to
prevent
inadvertent activation. The
member
of staff responsible for
the work
must take
possession
of the
key.
The bending cheek
must never
be lowered mechanically as
this may
possibly
cause the entire folding machine
to topple
over.
Once work has been completed, the
wooden blocks
under the
bending
cheek must be removed
again before the
folding machine is
reconnected
to
the
electric system.
For this, apply a hammer
to
the wooden blocks, approx.
4 inches above
the
floor of the hall and drive
them
out
(refer
to
the figure below).
