What to do if Razor Griddle burner will not light with a match?
    • J
      John DuranAug 15, 2025
If the burner on your Razor Griddle won't light with a match, it could be due to several reasons. There might be no gas flow (check if LP gas tank is empty, and if not, refer to “Sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height”), the LP gas tank might be low or empty (replace LP gas tank), or there could be an LP gas leak (disconnect LP gas tank, wait 5 minutes for gas to clear, connect LP gas tank, and check for leaks). Other potential causes include a coupling nut and regulator not fully connected (tighten by hand only), an obstruction of gas flow (clear burner/venturi tube), spider webs or insect nest in venturi (clean burner/venturi tube), or a clogged or blocked burner port (clean burner port).

What to do if Razor Griddle burner will not light using igniter?
    • N
      natasha79Aug 18, 2025
If the burner on your Razor Griddle won't light using the igniter, the LP gas tank might be low or empty (replace LP gas tank). Another cause can be an LP gas leak (disconnect LP gas tank, wait 5 minutes for gas to clear, connect LP gas tank, and check for leaks). Also the bottom bowl and ash pan may be covered with ashes (clear bottom bowl and ash pan of ashes). Wires or electrode may be covered with cooking residue (clean wire and/or electrode with rubbing alcohol), or the electrode and burners are wet (wipe dry with cloth).

What to do if Razor Griddle has flare-up?
    • S
      Shelby ButlerAug 21, 2025
If your Razor Griddle experiences a flare-up, it could be due to grease buildup, excess fat in the meat, or excessive cooking temperature. Remove and clean all griddle parts, trim fat from meat before cooking, and adjust (lower) the cooking temperature.

Why is the flame yellow or orange on my Razor Griddle?
    • H
      hmayAug 26, 2025
A yellow or orange flame on your Razor Griddle may be due to several reasons: new burner may have residual manufacturing oils (operate griddle for 15 minutes on high), spider webs or insect nest in burner/venturi tube (clean burner/venturi tube), food residue, grease, etc. on burner (clean burner), or poor alignment of valve to burner/venturi tube (ensure burner/venturi tube is properly engaged with valve).

What to do if the flame goes out on my Razor Griddle?
    • J
      Jamie HallAug 28, 2025
If the flame on your Razor Griddle goes out, it may be due to high or gusting winds (do NOT use griddle in high winds) or low LP gas (replace LP gas tank). Another possible cause is the overflow valve tripped (refer to “Sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height”).
