Overview

The Razor T25 is an electric scooter designed for adult users, emphasizing careful and responsible riding. It is not intended as a toy for young riders. The scooter is part of a new generation of electric mobility, leveraging Razor's experience in motorized scooter technology to provide a useful option for local travel and commutes.

Function Description:

The Razor T25 is an electric scooter that provides personal mobility. It features a hub motor propulsion system and multiple speed options, making it suitable for various riding conditions and commuting applications. The scooter is designed for flat, dry surfaces like pavement and level ground, and it requires the rider to kick to start to at least 3 mph (5 km/h) before the motor engages. It includes a throttle for acceleration and a brake lever for stopping, with a brake cut-off switch that disengages the motor when applied. For enhanced visibility, the T25 is equipped with a headlight and taillight, which can be activated when the unit is powered on. The scooter also features a folding mechanism for portability and storage.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Weight Limit: Not for riders under age 18 or heavier than 200 lb (100 kg).
  • Speed Modes:
    • Pedestrian Mode: Up to 9.3 mph (15 km/h)
    • Cruising Mode: Up to 12.4 mph (20 km/h)
    • Sport Mode: Up to 15.5 mph (25 km/h)
  • Motor Engagement: Requires unit to be traveling at least 3 mph (5 km/h) before motor will engage.
  • Battery: Lithium-ion battery pack.
  • Initial Charge Time: 8 hours.
  • Recharge Time: Up to 8 hours (even if light turns green).
  • Run Time: Up to 70 minutes of continuous ride time (may vary based on conditions, rider weight, climate, and maintenance).

Usage Features:

  • Assembly: Requires adult assembly, estimated at 15 minutes (excluding initial charge time). Handlebars are attached using a 3 mm Allen wrench.
  • Unfolding: To unfold, pull and hold the pin out, press down the folding tab, and raise the T-bar until an audible locking sound is heard.
  • Charging: The battery must be fully charged prior to first use. The charger light will be green when plugged into the wall, turn red when connected to the scooter and charging, and turn green again when charging is complete. It is recommended to charge the battery immediately after riding and fully charge it before storing for extended periods. Do not charge at or below 32°F (0°C).
  • Power On/Off: Press the power button for two seconds to turn the unit on or off.
  • Lights: Press the light button once to activate the headlight and taillight when the product is powered ON. Press again to deactivate.
  • Riding:
    • Ensure the power button is ON.
    • Place both hands on the handlebars.
    • Kick to start to at least 3 mph (5 km/h).
    • Press down on the thumb throttle to engage the motor.
    • The motor will re-engage if brakes are released and throttle is applied before the scooter slows to under 3 mph (5 km/h).
  • Stopping: Squeeze the brake lever on the handlebar. The tail/brake light will glow brighter when brakes are applied. The scooter is designed to cut power to the motor when brakes are applied.
  • Speed Mode Selection: The T25 has three speed modes (Pedestrian, Cruising, Sport). The factory default is Pedestrian mode. To change modes, press the power button twice quickly. The display will show one, two, or three bars at the top to indicate the selected mode.
  • Folding: To fold, pull and hold the pin out, press down the folding tab, and lower the T-bar until an audible locking sound is heard.
  • Safety: Always wear proper protective equipment, including an approved safety helmet, elbow pads, and kneepads. Long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and closed-toe shoes with tied shoelaces are recommended. Avoid riding barefoot or in sandals. Do not use headphones or cell phones while riding. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Maintenance Features:

  • Pre-Ride Checklist: Before each ride, check the following:
    • Lights: Ensure headlight and taillight function properly.
    • Brakes: Verify proper braking action and that the brake cut-off switch works.
    • Wheels: Inspect for excessive wear.
    • Frame, Fork, and Handlebars: Check for cracks or broken connections.
    • Hardware/Loose Parts: Ensure all nuts, bolts, and fasteners are secure.
  • Cleaning: Wipe with a damp cloth. Do not use industrial cleaners, solvents, alcohol-based, or ammonia-based cleaners as they may damage surfaces or plastic components.
  • Battery Care: Do not store in freezing temperatures. Recharge periodically when not in use to prevent depletion.
  • Charger Inspection: Regularly examine the charger for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, and other parts. Do not charge if damaged.
  • Wheel Maintenance: Wheels and the drive system are subject to normal wear and tear. Users are responsible for periodically inspecting wheels for excess wear and replacing hub motor components as required.
  • Brake Adjustment: The rear brake can be adjusted using a cable adjuster on the lever. If further adjustment is needed, use a 5 mm Allen wrench on the caliper side to adjust cable tension.
