Usage Features

The e-bike features a control panel with a mode button, up button, and down button.

  • Turning On/Off: Press and hold the mode button for several seconds. The bike automatically turns off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
  • Speed Control: Use the up and down buttons to increase or decrease speed. Riders are advised to start slowly and gradually speed up, adjusting to riding conditions.
  • Speed Display: Pressing the mode button cycles through current speed, average speed, and maximum speed.
  • Walk Mode: Holding the down button for three seconds activates "Walk Mode," powering the bike at a steady 6 km/h, allowing the user to walk alongside it without pushing. This function should not be used while riding.
  • Headlight: Press and hold the up button to turn on the headlight. A headlight symbol appears on the control screen when activated. The rear light is controlled by a button on the light itself.
  • Battery Charge Indicator: The control screen displays battery charge level with bars. All bars lit indicate a full charge, while one large bar on the right indicates a need for prompt charging.
  • Mileage Display: Pressing the mode button cycles through "TRIP A" (single trip miles A), "TRIP B" (single trip miles B), "ODO" (total miles ridden), and "RMAIN" (remaining miles).
  • Error Codes: The control screen displays error messages with codes if electrical malfunctions occur. Codes include Current abnormality (21), Throttle abnormality (22), Missing phase on motor (23), Motor hall signal abnormality (24), Brake power-off sensor abnormality (25), and Controller/instrument communication abnormality (30).
  • Control Panel Settings: Access the settings menu by pressing the up and down arrows simultaneously for three seconds.
    • St1: Switch between imperial (mph) and metric (km/h) units.
    • St2: Alter the speed limit (UK limit is 15.5 mph / 25 km/h).
    • St3: Set the wheel diameter for accurate speedometer and mileage readings. Confirm choices by pressing the mode button. Save settings by pressing and holding the mode button for 2 seconds, or exit without saving by holding the down arrow for 2 seconds.

Maintenance Features

  • Handlebar Adjustment: Place the handlebar onto the stem, cover, and fix with two screws (tightening torque not less than 18 Nm). Align handlebars perpendicular to the front wheel and tighten the stem attachment screw (not less than 18 Nm).
  • Saddle Adjustment: Insert the saddle post to at least the circular safety mark. Adjust saddle height so the knee is slightly bent when the foot is on the pedal at its lowest point. The saddle should be parallel to the ground. Tightening torque for saddle mounting screws should not be less than 18 Nm.
  • Wheel Adjustment: Ensure front and back wheels are fixed to the fork and frame. Recommended tightening torques: Front wheel hub 18 Nm, Rear wheel hub 30 Nm.
  • Brake Maintenance: Check rotors for wobbles and straighten if necessary. Ensure all parts touching the rotor are clean. If brakes squeal, check all bolts (rotor, caliper, adapter). Clean rotor and pads if snug. Equalize lever travel using limit screws or bleed hydraulic fluid if needed. Inspect for leaks in the hydraulic system.
  • Derailleur Adjustment:
    • Adjust the lower bolt to align the guide wheel with the outer line of the smallest sprocket.
    • Shift to the lowest gear, tighten the derailleur cable, and fix it with the cable nut.
    • Turn the low adjustment screw to position the guide pulley directly below the largest sprocket.
    • Adjust the nut for smooth gear changes, tightening if the real gear is lower than shown, loosening if higher.
    • Ensure the cable is securely in the groove.
  • Battery Charging: Connect the charger cable to the bike, then plug into a wall outlet. The LED on the charger is RED during charging and GREEN when fully charged. Disconnect from the wall first, then from the bike. Ensure the charging port cover is sealed. Charge for 12 hours for the first three uses. Use only the supplied charger.
  • Battery & Charger Maintenance: For extended storage, keep the battery at ~50% charge (or charge 2-3 hours if flat) in a dry, ventilated area. Charge for 2-3 hours every two months. Keep bike and charger clean, dry, ventilated, away from corrosive substances, heat, and open flames. Storage temperature: -20~35°C, relative humidity: 5~65%RH. Disconnect charger from bike when stored.
  • Battery Precautions: Never short circuit or discharge. Keep away from fire/excessive heat. Avoid intense physical shock, vibration, or impact. Protect from water/moisture. Operating temperature: 0~45°C (charge), -20~45°C (discharge). Humidity: ≤80% RH. Keep away from children. Do not disassemble.
  • Charger Precautions: Keep at least 1M from electronics. Use only the supplied charger in a clean, dry place, free from smoke, dust, moisture. Disconnect from wall first, then battery, after charging. Charge out of reach of children. Do not disassemble, refit, or place anything on the charger. Do not disconnect battery output or switch on the e-bike while charging.
  • Regular Cleaning: Wipe dirty painted/plastic parts with a soft, damp cloth and neutral cleaning solution, then dry. DO NOT use water, grease, or pressure washers on electrical systems, connectors, brake pads, wheels, tires, or plastic parts.
  • Regular Maintenance (Every 1-2 Months): Check handlebar/saddle post tightness, wheel hub nuts, wheel rims for cracks, spokes, tire wear/inflation, battery charge, lights, brake effectiveness, cable greasing, brake pad condition, and frame welds for corrosion/oxidation.
  • Lubricating The E-Bike: Use specific transmission lubricants for the chain, freewheel, and gears every 1-2 months or if the drive line is dry. Parts to lubricate: Head set, Brake cable, Chain. Parts NOT to lubricate: Speed controller, Brake pads, Wheel rims, Rear brake, Front brake, Tires.
