Why is there no spark at the pilot light when I press the ignitor button on my ReddyHeater BWH10NLMB?
    • S
      Steven MooneySep 12, 2025
If the ignitor button is pressed but there's no spark at the ODS/pilot of your ReddyHeater Gas Heater, several issues could be at fault. It might be due to incorrect positioning or breakage of the ignitor electrode, in which case you should replace the pilot assembly. Another cause could be that the ignitor electrode isn't connected to the ignitor cable, suggesting a need to replace the ignitor cable. The ignitor cable could also be pinched or wet, so free it from any obstructions and keep it dry. A broken ignitor cable would also need replacement. Lastly, a faulty piezo ignitor would also require replacement.

What to do if the pilot light goes out when I release the control knob on my ReddyHeater Gas Heater?
    • A
      Amy LewisAug 21, 2025
If your ReddyHeater Gas Heater's ODS/pilot lights but the flame goes out when you release the control knob, ensure the control knob is fully pressed in and held for 30 seconds after the pilot lights. Check that the equipment shutoff valve is fully open. A loose thermocouple connection at the control valve can cause this issue; hand tighten it until snug, then give it an extra 1/4 turn. Low gas pressure or a dirty ODS/pilot can also be the reason. Contact your local gas company to check the gas pressure. Clean the ODS/pilot or consider replacing the ODS/pilot assembly. If the thermocouple is damaged, replace it. If the control valve is damaged, replace the control valve.

What to do if there's a spark but no ignition on my ReddyHeater Gas Heater?
    • A
      Ashley BurnsAug 23, 2025
If the ignitor button is pressed and there is a spark at the ODS/pilot but no ignition on your ReddyHeater Gas Heater, first, ensure the gas supply is turned on and the equipment shutoff valve is open. Make sure the control knob is fully pressed in while pressing the ignitor button. If there's air in the gas lines from a recent installation, continue holding down the control knob and repeat the ignition process until the air is purged. A clogged ODS/pilot can also prevent ignition; clean it or replace the assembly. Check the inlet gas pressure and replace the inlet gas regulator if damaged. Ensure the control knob is in the PILOT position. Finally, if you're using propane, check for a depleted gas supply and contact your local propane company if needed.

Why won't the burner light on my ReddyHeater Gas Heater after the pilot is lit?
    • M
      marie16Aug 26, 2025
If your ReddyHeater Gas Heater burner(s) does not light after the ODS/pilot is lit, the burner orifice may be clogged. Clean the burner orifice or replace it. Also, the burner orifice diameter might be too small, in which case you should replace it. Finally, the inlet gas pressure could be too low; contact your local gas supplier to resolve this.

Why does my ReddyHeater Gas Heater produce unwanted odors?
    • D
      davidfloresAug 28, 2025
If your ReddyHeater Gas Heater is producing unwanted odors, ventilate the room and stop using odor-causing products like paints, hair spray, or glues while the heater is running. A gas leak could also be the issue; locate and correct any leaks. If you're using propane, check the fuel supply and refill the tank if it's low.

Why is my ReddyHeater BWH10NLMB Gas Heater burner backfiring?
    • P
      Patricia RogersAug 30, 2025
If the burner is backfiring during combustion in your ReddyHeater Gas Heater, the burner orifice might be clogged or damaged. Clean the burner orifice or replace it. The burner itself could also be damaged, requiring replacement. Alternatively, the gas regulator might be faulty, and replacing it could solve the problem.

      Gregory LoveSep 2, 2025
If your ReddyHeater Gas Heater shuts off during use (ODS operates), it could be due to insufficient fresh air. Open a window or door for ventilation. Low line pressure could also be the cause; contact your local gas supplier. Additionally, a partially clogged ODS/pilot might be the issue; clean the ODS/pilot.

    • J
      jadamsSep 4, 2025
If you notice a high yellow flame during burner combustion in your ReddyHeater Gas Heater, it could be due to insufficient air. Check the burner for dirt and debris, and clean it if necessary. A defective gas regulator could also be the cause, requiring replacement. Low inlet gas pressure might also lead to this issue, so contact your local gas supplier.
